Dan Crenshaw offers Taliban ‘savages’ a scorching 3-word response to its deadline

U.S. Rep. Dan Crenshaw, R-Texas, is a former Navy SEAL who lost his right eye while fighting in Afghanistan, so you’ll have to excuse him if he’s a little angry about what is now unfolding in the Central Asian country.

Having just encountered the possibility of losing the sight in his left eye, which was also impacted by his combat injuries, it’s fair to say that he has skin in the game and the Taliban effectively drawing a line in the sand on when the U.S. military must be out of Afghanistan has Crenshaw spitting mad.

The Taliban have firm control of Afghanistan, including the capital city of Kabul, having routed the Afghan government and its U.S.-trained military in a few days — the military largely faded into the background without firing a shot.

Crenshaw responded to a tweet Monday on the established deadline of August 31 for the U.S. military to be completely out of Afghanistan.

“The only proper response from America to these dirty savage terrorists should be: Go f*** yourself,” Crenshaw tweeted on Monday.

Biden is being pressured to extend that deadline and hinted at doing so, telling ABC News, “If there’s American citizens left, we’re going to stay until we get them all out.”

He has since decided to stick with the deadline for withdrawing troops, according to Fox News, which cited a senior administration official.

A Taliban spokesman told Sky News this week that the date is a “red line,” and said there will be “consequences” if the U.S. doesn’t meet the deadline.

“It’s a red line. President Biden announced that on 31 August they would withdraw all their military forces,” Suhail Shaheen stated. “So if they extend it that means they are extending occupation while there is no need for that.”

“If the U.S. or U.K. were to seek additional time to continue evacuations, the answer is no. Or there would be consequences,” he added.

Crenshaw tore into the White House last week over the handling of Afghanistan.

“The incompetence of the Biden administration on this is really overwhelming,” the lawmaker said. “There need to be resignations, there need to be firings. They couldn’t have done this in a worse way.”

In a follow-up tweet Monday evening, Crenshaw warned that by refusing to extend the deadline, Biden is “turning this disaster into something far worse. It could turn deadly for US citizens left behind.”

“I don’t care what the Taliban says, fight for our people until the job is done,” the war veteran added.

U.S. Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif, chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, said it was “very unlikely” that the U.S. evacuation will be complete by the Aug. 31 deadline.

“I think it’s possible but I think it’s very unlikely given the number of Americans who still need to be evacuated,” he told reporters on Monday. “It’s hard for me to imagine that all of that can be accomplished between now and the end of the month.”

Which would mean Biden would essentially abandon any remaining Americans.

Crenshaw was not the only former Navy SEAL to comment on Biden’s humiliating surrender in Afghanistan.

Former Navy SEAL Rob O’Neill, the man who shot and killed Osama bin Laden, said he would take nine guys and rescue the Americans still stranded behind Taliban lines. He also said they would kill every Taliban member they encounter in the process.

“Give me nine guys I’m gonna walk through the streets and I’m gonna kill everyone I see, and I’m gonna grab the Americans,” O’Neill said in an appearance on Fox News. “It is not difficult. But we have these people who are in charge that are a disgrace.”
