President Joe Biden somehow manages to set new lows for the American presidency on a daily basis and on Monday, he added to his already impressive list of insults to the nation’s integrity when he praised far-left women’s soccer icon Megan Rapinoe and her fiancee Sue Bird as exemplifying “the best of what America stands for.”
Taking a break from his mismanagement of the crisis in Afghanistan where thousands of Americans remain trapped in Taliban-controlled territory with their hope of getting out safely dwindling by the hour, the “leader” of the free world chose to praise a controversial figure whose disrespectful protest of the national anthem during the Tokyo Olympics was just another example of how the activist has dishonored the U.S. on the world stage.
Rapinoe, best known for her trademark purple hair is coming off of an underwhelming Olympic performance where her self-promoting antics contributed to the women’s soccer team losing out on the gold medal following up an opening game loss by being stunned 1-0 by Canada in the semi-final and having to settle for the bronze.
With the days of patriotism and proudly representing the country seemingly relegated to the dustbin of history, nothing is as praiseworthy to Democrats like Biden than bestowing honor upon those who openly express distaste with a system that allowed them to become wealthy and famous, and he did so for the LGBT power couple albeit struggling mightily with Rapinoe’s name.
“They define integrity and character and as president, as an American, I am proud of how they have represented us and they represent the best of what America stands for,” Biden said.
Biden’s high praise of Rapinoe comes after former teammate Hope Solo went public over how the superstar athlete intimidated fellow players on the USWNT into taking a knee during the playing of the national anthem. “I think the kneeling thing can be very divisive. I’ve seen Megan Rapinoe almost bully players into kneeling because she really wants to stand up for something in her particular way,” Solo said.

Biden’s remarks came during a White House ceremony to honor the WNBA’s Seattle Storm after the women’s basketball team won the league’s 2020 championship last year, sweeping the Las Vegas Aces 3-0 in the COVID abbreviated season, the team’s fourth title.
Bird is a star player for the Storm and while basking in the glory of being celebrated by Biden, took a cheap shot at former President Donald J. Trump. “I think for a very long time, up until 2016, going to the White House was an honor. It wasn’t necessarily political. It was to meet the president of the United States. The person who holds that office acknowledging your team’s success,” she said.
President Biden also hailed the Storm for their activism to promote the divisive message of the Marxist-inspired Black Lives Matter movement. “What makes this team remarkable is they don’t just win games, they change lives,” he said. “That’s what winners do. They shine the light and lift people up. They’re a force for change. That’s the Seattle Storm, that’s the WNBA.”
A masked Biden went so far as to validate those who have contempt for the flag by taking a knee, which some on Twitter were quick to point out doesn’t exactly send the right message to the Taliban.

As for Rapinoe, the controversial star is reportedly mulling retirement, something that it becomes increasingly more evident that Biden should do as well.
