The sheer magnitude of America’s historic humiliation in Afghanistan can’t be overstated and now even the Taliban is getting credit for being more open in press conferences than President Joe Biden.
With a frenzied evacuation underway after the Biden administration’s monumental strategic blunders handed the country over to the radical Islamic group, the new regime is settling in and on Tuesday, met with media to answer questions in what has the appearance of a savvy public relations move.
Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid fielded a wide array of questions, holding his own with international media and drawing praise for his willingness to respond, unlike Biden who reluctantly interrupted his vacation at Camp David to give a short address to the nation on Monday and then fled without fielding a single question from a press corps that is notorious for coddling him.
A report from Al Jazeera English observed that the Taliban was able to deliver to the media while the “leader” of the free world tucked tail and ran when he “slammed his book shut, took no questions and walked out of the room.”

The Taliban’s media strategy – they plan to hold regular press conferences where they will respond to reporters – is a stark contrast to the lack of transparency coming from Washington.

Twitter noticed the difference between the two pressers and Biden’s fleeing the room without taking questions.

Mujahid also stuck it to Biden’s America when he was asked about concerns that the new Taliban wouldn’t allow freedom of speech in Afghanistan, pointing out that such a thing is no longer the norm in the U.S. where tech giants like Facebook do the government’s dirty work by censoring dissenting voices and designating legitimate criticism as misinformation.

“This question should be asked to those people who are claiming to be promoters of freedom of speech who do not allow publication of full information and news, I can ask Facebook company,” he said, “This question should be asked to them.”
In just seven months, the Biden regime has taken a wrecking ball to America’s reputation on the world stage by surrendering the moral high ground not only with using the “public-private partnership” to do an end-around the Constitution by outsourcing the banning of its political adversaries from Facebook, YouTube and Twitter but also the ongoing human rights abuses against political prisoners in the special D.C. jail were January 6th protesters are being held in conditions comparable to a Communist Chinese prison.
America’s image of the “shining city of the hill” fell months before Biden allowed the Taliban to overrun Kabul and the indignities keep coming.
