After days of early press lids and no public events, President Joe Biden quietly slithered off to Delaware late last week and effectively disappeared from the spotlight, only to finally reemerge publicly this Tuesday looking and acting like a nursing home patient.
According to reports, his intent had been to start a two-week vacation. That plan, however, temporarily fell by the wayside this week because of the Senate’s successful passage Tuesday of a supposedly “bipartisan” infrastructure bill.
“The president had hoped to begin his two-week summer vacation this week but, at the same time, wanted to be in Washington to tout the Senate’s passage of his bipartisan infrastructure bill, a foundational piece of Biden’s agenda,” the Associated Press reported.
As the Senate debated the bill, the president “decamped for his Wilmington, Delaware, home for the weekend, with officials planning a Sunday night return to mark the bill’s passage.”
Then once the Senate finally passed the controversial bill Tuesday, the president “did travel back to the White House to take a victory lap.”
But from the looks of it, the “victory lap” was more like a victory limp.

Notice how he walked.
The president appeared to walk slightly hunched over and with a subtle limp.
Walking with a limp. Did Obama spend the night? 😉

He’s hunched over – looks old.

He is hunched over like a 90 year old. He’s always wanted to be the POTUS. Now that it actually happened, he’s waaaay past his prime, usefulness and ability!
It’s really shameful that this man is supposedly the leader of the free world.
He’s in over his head.

Hilarious that people actually say a guy walking like the tin man looks spry, refreshed and energetic. Looks more like he could fall down three times again despite doing the tin man shuffle 😀

The latter tweet was a reference to the dead-serious Biden groupies who’d claimed that the president looked “refreshed” and “energetic.”
Also, notice how the Secret Service agent in front of the president appeared to direct him to turn right and stay on the sidewalk.

But is it normal for a Secret Service agent to tell his target where to walk?
Why does the secret service have to point out the path to him?
— TheJourney (@TheJourneyForth) August 10, 2021
And is it possible that the agent had instead been warning the president that the sidewalk he was pointing to had been cordoned off for some reason?
It looks like the agent was informing that that route was locked off and to take the different route. You think secret service is going to point at a walkway like that to the President?
— Ely (@IB2Stone) August 10, 2021
Either way, the president marched on ahead through the grass, seemingly choosing to take the long route.
He just walked into the bushes. Not only couldn’t he follow the pointed hand signal but he missed the entire sidewalk, walked onto the grass and into the bushes and it’s not like he’s never been there before.

Haha….he literally ignored their directions and started walking through the grass. They had to chase him like a senile, demented old man
— Gigs (@gigyjoes) August 11, 2021
They literally point to the walkway for him…and he still wanders and detours through the grass.

Normally you follow the sidewalk into the house not go around the bushes onto the grass then onto the porch.

He clearly has dementia. I’ve worked around Alzheimer’s patients for 20 years. Something is going on with this guy.
— Kendra (@KlosKendra) August 11, 2021
The criticism seen above all hinges on the idea that the president is mentally defective because of old age and possibly dementia as well.
This would quickly be dismissed as just a fringe theory if there weren’t dozens of similar examples of Biden behaving like a nursing home patient.
One such example played out later that same afternoon.
During an official “victory lap” press conference, the president was specifically asked about disgraced former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s resignation.
“Mr. President, if I may? Ironically, one of the Democrats through the years that you spoke with about infrastructure the most was Andrew Cuomo, who announced he’s resigning today. You had traveled New York with him when you were vice president to the launch of the reconstruction of LaGuardia,” a reporter said.
“He was someone who supported your campaign early on, though you called on him to resign, though you condemn to the alleged behavior. But you’re someone who spends a lot of time with mayors and governors. How would you assess his 10 and a half years as governor of the state?” the reporter then asked.
The reporter basically used the topic of the press conference — infrastructure — to sneakily bring up the former governor and get the president’s take on his downfall.
“In terms of his personal behavior or what he’s done as a governor?” the president replied.
“What he’s done as a governor,” the reporter responded.
Biden then said that Cuomo’s “done a hell of a job … on everything from access to voting, to infrastructure, to a whole range of things.”
Listen:
A couple of minutes later, CNN’s Kaitlan Collins — who, much to her credit, has actually been somewhat tough on the president — asked how the president could say that Cuomo’s done a “‘hell of a job’ … if he’s accused of sexually harassing women on the job?”
The president replied by claiming that the question he’d originally been asked was whether Cuomo … “did he do a good job on infrastructure?”
“That was the question,” he stressed. “He did.”
But as Collins quickly noted, that wasn’t the question he’d been asked.
“Well, the question was how did he do as a governor?” she said.
But not according to Biden, who continued to double down on his false memory.
Listen:
It was as if Biden had either misunderstood the original reporter’s question — which seems unlikely since he’d replied by saying Cuomo had performed well “on everything” — or he’d already forgotten his previous conversation.
Either way, it wasn’t a good look, unless of course looking and acting like a nursing home patient was Biden’s plan all along …
