The Biden administration is pulling out all the stops to promote the White House’s efforts to convince Americans to get vaccinated but a new social media ad isn’t likely to win many hearts and minds.
The ad features a young man who appears to have serious issues when it comes to gender confusion who introduces himself as “Kooper,” a Gen Z White House intern who takes viewers on a tour of the West Wing, stopping briefly to say hi to press secretary “Jenny” Psaki who is also featured in the video.
The video stars comic and social media influencer Benito Skinner who, as Benny Drama, has a following of over one million on TikTok and Instagram and who is clearly tailoring the message to get “the jab” to a younger audience.
Despite the obvious intent to promote the Biden administration’s vaccination campaign, the 1-minute spot does little to focus on information regarding the shots and more on Kooper’s personal eccentricities, although he does briefly promote the vaccines at the end with the slogan “we need to get shots in the arms of every single American.”
When it comes to CRINGE, it’s not going to be an easy task to top this one and the reception on Twitter was predictably brutal with the House Judiciary GOP weighing in with the sarcastic three-word response that perfectly describes the ad: Joe Biden’s America.

Then in what was an inadvertent acknowledgment of the House Republicans’ key point, White House assistant press secretary Angela Perez thanked them for their response, an exclamation point that the Biden administration is completely out of touch with America.

Some were quick to educate Psaki’s underling that it wasn’t intended to be a compliment.
This isn’t something to be proud of, Angela. Its embarrassing. https://t.co/aeiBo9TaNQ

Other reactions to the video make excellent points, including punching a hole in the bogus narrative that vaccine-hesitant conservatives and Trump supporters are the ones to blame for the spread of the delta variant.
This is pretty much a tacit admission on the behalf of the Biden administration that the people who aren't getting vaxxed aren't Republicans, because this isn't meant to appeal to the Right. https://t.co/ZKTPgyYKNI

I bet this video is influencing red county residents to get vaccinated in droves https://t.co/mpW4neBq2i

Additional reactions added to the torrent of mockery that rained down on the White House.
Great to have the adults back. https://t.co/XtpZZuiVlv

wait okay I’ve figured this out, it’s like a hostage situation and if you get vaxxed they’ll stop doing this https://t.co/S83wvoxYPG

The trivialization of getting a Wuhan coronavirus vaccine, a private medical decision, has been absolutely enraging. From donuts to this. Does this answer any questions about hesitancy? Concerns? Nope. https://t.co/jwN8s4PKEZ

These…these are the people we were told would be bringing maturity and dignity back to the White House. https://t.co/B84tDSiqMr

Once again, the Democrats have shown that their entire worldview is shaped by identity politics, even when it comes to protecting Americans during an unprecedented public health crisis.
