Senator Rand Paul is taking a stand against those who are seeking to strip Americans of their rights by using COVID as an excuse to radically transform the nation into a very dark and oppressive place that is more to their liking.
With the Biden administration veering into full-blown authoritarianism after the political humiliation of missing the goal of 70 percent fully vaccinated by July 4th, those who want to have control over their own bodies and to make their own personal medical choices without the government calling the shots are facing the prospect that they will be forced into being jabbed or face the prospect of unemployment, exclusion from society or worse.
In a video posted to Twitter, the Kentucky Republican issued a rousing defense of freedom that is a poke in the eye to those who he called “petty tyrants,” singling out Speaker Nancy Pelosi and President Joe Biden as well as the CDC for their their “anti-science” mask mandates and threats of lockdowns.
We are at a moment of truth and a crossroads. Will we allow these people to use fear and propaganda to do further harm to our society, economy, and children?
Or will we stand together and say, absolutely not. Not this time. I choose freedom. pic.twitter.com/XrI2tjdAHW

“It’s time for us to resist, they can’t arrest all of us, they can’t keep all of your kids home from school, they can’t keep every government building closed,” he said.
Paul continued; “We don’t have to accept the mandates, lockdowns, and harmful policies of the petty tyrants and bureaucrats, we can simply say no, not again.”
He had harsh words for the top Democrats, “Nancy Pelosi, you will not arrest or stop me or anyone on my staff from doing our jobs,” referring to a threat by Capitol Police that violators of Madame Speaker’s diktats could be arrested, “we have either had COVID, had the vaccine or been offered the vaccine. We will make our own health choices, we will not show you a passport, we will not wear a mask, we will not be forced into random screenings and testings so you can continue your drunk with power reign over the Capitol.”
Senator Paul also called out the vaxxer in chief, “President Biden, we will not accept your agency’s mandates or reported moves toward a lockdown. No one should follow the CDC’s anti-science mask mandates,” he also vowed, “if you want to shut down federal agencies again, some of which aren’t back to work yet, I will stop every bill coming through the Senate with an amendment to cut their funding if they don’t come back to work in person.”
He did express optimism that resistance against the tyranny of the bureaucrats is growing; “I think the tide is turning as more and more people are willing to stand up. I see stories from across the country of parents standing up to the unions and school boards. I see brave moms standing up and saying my kids need to go back to school in person. I see members of Congress refusing to comply with petty tyrant Pelosi. We are at a moment of truth and a crossroads. Will we allow these people to use fear and propaganda to do further harm to our society, economy and children. Or will we stand together and say absolutely not. Not this time. I choose freedom.” He said.
As could be expected, those who are bitterly clinging to the masks and who never want things to go back to normal lashed out at Paul on Twitter.
Rand Paul looked at the news of rising COVID infections, deaths, and bad political policies in Texas and Florida, and said, 'Kentucky wants this."

Rand Paul is a failure as a Senator, a doctor and a human being.

It’s way past time for the Senate to censure the traitor Rand Paul

Rand Paul hates the CDC because he has so much trouble spelling it.

Some Twitter users suggested that it would be appropriate for violence to be used against a sitting member of the United States Senate in what would seem to be a major violation of the social media platform’s policies that as usual, are selectively enforced.

Rand Paul sure has a lot of dumb opinions for someone within neighbor beating distance.

Every time I'm forced to see or hear Rand Paul speak, I'm reminded how grateful I am to his neighbor.

Senator Paul was the victim of a savage attack by his neighbor who took him down with a vicious blindside tackle while he was mowing his lawn in 2017; he suffered severe injuries and had to have a portion of one of his lungs removed as a result.
Unfortunately, I will have to limit my August activities. Part of my lung damaged by the 2017 assault had to be removed by surgery this weekend. The doctors, nurses, & staff at Vanderbilt University Medical Center were great. I should be able to return to the Senate in September

He was also nearly massacred along with the entire GOP congressional baseball team when a deranged Bernie Sanders supporter opened fire on them during practice, Rep. Steve Scalise was gravely wounded in the attack which was an early sign that the left has embraced violence as an acceptable tool to achieve political objectives.
No stranger to receiving death threats, Senator Paul’s courageous stand against the COVID tyrants is only going to put a bigger target on his back.
