Gregg Jarrett destroys CNN’s Chris Cuomo over Luv Gov brother: ‘Abbott and Costello routine disgraceful’

New York Democratic Governor Andrew Cuomo and his brother, CNN news anchor Chris Cuomo, should be feeling the pressure this week as Fox News legal analyst Gregg Jarrett joined a growing chorus condemning their shameful actions throughout the pandemic.

Appearing Saturday on Fox News’ “Justice with Judge Jeanine,” Jarrett called the brother’s relationship “disgraceful” and “nauseating.”

Speaking in response to clips of the Cuomo brothers Jarrett said, “this Abbott and Costello routine is really disgraceful – it’s nauseating, it’s shameful for a journalist to be doing that.”

“Think about what was happening. Thousands and thousands of people were dying, and they’re yucking it up on national television? And Chris Cuomo spent months propping up his arrogant brother, not challenging him about things like his role and cover-up in nursing home deaths,” Jarrett said, recalling the multiple softball interviews Chris Cuomo had granted his bigger brother. “The list goes on and on.”

“And now we learn from this attorney general report that it was Chris Cuomo at CNN who was secretly advising his brother to portray the victims as liars, to blame them, to say he’s a victim of the cancel culture, and CNN and Jeff Zucker have taken no action against Chris Cuomo,” the attorney and news commentator Jarrett said.

Governor Cuomo is apparently hiding out in the governor’s mansion in hopes to save his political career after the avalanche of condemning information came out with the release of New York Attorney General Letitia James’ 165-page investigative report that concluded the governor “sexually harassed a number of State employees through unwelcome and unwanted touching, as well as by making numerous offensive and sexually suggestive comments.”

His brother Chris Cuomo took an abrupt “long-planned vacation” this week following the release of the report. Back in May, he was compelled to make an apology at the beginning of his CNN timeslot after initial reports alleged he had advised his brother on how to respond to the sexual harassment allegations he was facing.

“My goodness, he violated just about every journalistic, ethical rule in the books,” Jarrett pointed out. “But listen, the charges here could be quite serious. Against consent lifting the blouse of a woman and fondling her breast could be a variety of crimes, including forcible touching under New York law. Obviously assault and battery, and also criminal harassment.”

And violation of those standards has resulted in some awkward exchanges. Earlier this week Chris Cuomo didn’t touch his brother’s story with a ten-foot pole, but the moment he got off the air, host Don Lemon launched into the story of the scandal and noted the top democrats that were calling for Chris Cuomo’s brother to resign.

Jarrett concluded that the mounting evidence will be up to the district attorney to prosecute.

“So it will be up to the Albany district attorney to not only evaluate the evidence collectively, which is apparently quite overwhelming and compelling by the attorney general but to do his own interview of this particular victim, and decide whether Andrew Cuomo should be arrested, prosecuted, and jailed upon conviction,” Jarrett concluded.

Rose McGowan, former “Charmed” star had a message for the governor this week in response to the report.

“Governor Cuomo, can’t you stop being a pr**k?” she asked, “go home!”
