The Washington, D.C. Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) reportedly submitted a request to cremate deceased Jan. 6th rioter Ashli Babbitt, an Air Force veteran, only two days after her death.
This and other findings were discovered in more than 1,100 pages of documents from the OCME obtained by the conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch via a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit filed in April.
The documents obtained by Judicial Watch show that on Jan. 8th, two days after the Jan. 6th riot, OCME made a submission through the “OCME Online Permit” application form for “cremation.”
Moreover, the documents state that this “transaction was completed successfully.”
Look:

Neither Judicial Watch nor OCME “could confirm Tuesday whether the entry meant the application or the cremation was successful.”
What’s known is that questions about the location of Babbitt’s body began circulating on the Internet around Jan. 10th, when the entertainment site Meaww ran a story asking, “Where is her body?”
A bit over a month later on Feb. 22nd, a video appeared on the Internet of Babbitt supposedly being “laid to rest” by her family. A body couldn’t be seen in the video.
Watch:
However, the video also triggered more questions.
Why was there no body in it? Was this proof that she’d been cremated? Why did it receive zero mainstream media coverage? Why was there no official record of it? Etc.
Can anyone tell me where Ashli Babbitt is laid to rest? You’d think this 14 year Air Force veteran would be given honors and buried at a National Cemetery… Southern California has 2 and one of them less than 10 miles from her “ home town” … but there is no listing at all

Also still unknown is the identity of the U.S. Capitol Police officer who shot Babbitt.
“The continued secrecy and delayed release of information about the shooting death of Ashli Babbitt are suspicious and smacks of politics,” Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton said in a statement to Just The News.
“That Americans still have no information about who killed her or any police report about her death is a scandal of epic proportions,” he added.
Dovetailing back to Judicial Watch’s findings, they also show that top OCME officials sought to restrict access to Babbitt’s case information.
“Due to the high-profile nature of case 21-00106, Dr. Diaz has requested limited access to this case. Please create a secure folder on the photo server for case 21-00106 and provide access only to the following OCME staff: Dr. Mitchell, Dr. Diaz, Anna Francis, Matthew Brow,” forensics photographer Matthew Brown reportedly wrote in a Jan 7th. email to several of his OCME colleagues.
Dr. Diaz was a reference to OCME deputy chief medical examiner Francisco Diaz. He’s the one who examined the body.
“Dr. Francisco Diaz, the chief medical examiner in Washington, D.C., confirmed last week that Babbitt, 35, died from a gunshot wound to her left shoulder and ruled her death a homicide,” station WHBQ reported in mid-April.
“Diaz also determined two other people died of natural causes and a third from acute amphetamine intoxication, but the cause and manner of death for Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick remain pending,” the station added.
It was later confirmed via Diaz that Sicknick had died of natural causes.

Following his death, Sicknick was cremated and then “interred” at Arlington National Cemetery. This too raised questions.

“Unannounced to anyone except incidentally in that Sicknick’s memorial remains turned up in an urn instead of a coffin, Sicknick’s body has been cremated. That means no further forensic analysis can be done to establish the cause or time of Sicknick’s death,” Revolver News noted in a report following his cremation.
“Why, one must wonder, would a family still searching for answers, who has no autopsy results, no death certificate, and no medical report, authorize a cremation? Did they?” the news purveyor added.
This report is of relevance because it earned Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Glenn Greenwald’s veritable endorsement via the tweets below:
Here’s the Revolver article that built the case that finally forced media outlets to reckon with the fact that they have been spreading an outright falsehood about Officer Sicknick’s death for a month. There’s no knowledge about how (or when) he died:https://t.co/wBM60jAf6h

Suffice it to say, Greenwald isn’t someone who tweets conspiratorial nonsense. When he tweets something, it’s the real deal.
