Ingraham blasts ‘woke-ification’ of US military, Pentagon under spell of corporate America

Fox News host Laura Ingraham pulled no punches on her show Wednesday night, shredding the “woke-ification” of U.S. military leaders.

She began “The Ingraham Angle” by highlighting a particularly infuriating and childish attack launched by the commanding general at Fort Benning, one Maj. Gen. Patrick Donahoe, against a Marine veteran who clearly has Donahoe’s number.

That Marine, Josiah Lippincott, had joined Ingraham earlier this week and the two lambasted  Maj. Gen. Donahoe and the now well-known lover of Marxist philosophy, General Milley, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs.

“Sadly, the politicized, woke-ification of our military is becoming institutionalized, and you and I, every taxpaying American, we’re funding this nonsense. Now, last month at a House hearing, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs General Mark Milley sounded more like a high-ranking BLM officer, than a military officer,” Ingraham began her monologue.

Lippincott, a Hillsdale College student, and contributor for American Mind, had pointed out a stat to Maj. Gen. Donahoe on Twitter that showed only 26 people in the DOD had died from COVID, but that 26 people had committed suicide in the DOD, in the last quarter alone.

The general accused him of citing a false equivalency (no doubt a phrase he’s been longing to use since he recently learned it) and responded with what is evidently his idea of valor, tweeting “Hey Hillsdale come get your boy.”

“When you hear him spouting MSNBC talking points, that shows you the quality and the level of education and thought process that goes across all of the services.  We have 906 admirals and generals in our military, and it’s increasingly a bloated group, and an ideologically similar group as well,” Lippincott told Ingraham.

“These guys spent 20 years in Afghanistan, spent 2.4 trillion dollars of American taxpayer money. We lost 2300 service members, and we left Bagram Air Force Base in the middle of the night,” he continued.

Ingraham also summed up what everyone is thinking, that our military should focus on winning wars and stay out of politics.

“We’re at a fork in the road for our top military brass. We’ve seen what happens to the credibility of other institutions that forget what their original mission is. Just look at the eroding faith in the public health sector with all these idiotic stops and starts on COVID,” she said.

In an attempt at damage control while at a recent congressional hearing, Pentagon Chief Lloyd Austin actually had the nerve to say that concern over wokeness infecting our military is just a misunderstanding.

Ingraham rightly believes the American military needs to undergo an exhaustive, top-down review and reform.

But one has to wonder who would head up that commission. The same objective and impartial geniuses running the January 6 investigation?

All one needs to see is the video below, showing the Chinese military parading an impressive array of war machines likely unrecognizable to most Americans.

But rather than assess our strengths and weaknesses against a formidable enemy such as China, top brass and civilian leadership refuse to gut-check themselves, instead preferring to exercise their rules of engagement training in Twitter wars.

And God help us.
