An elementary school in northeastern Virginia has committed an “error” similar to one committed by the Biden administration this week.
Bailey’s Elementary School for the Arts and Sciences put a link to the radical Abolitionist Teaching Network (ATN) on their website in their school reopening guidelines. This is the same organization that President Joe Biden’s administration walked back support for this week after earlier promoting a handbook that advocates for Critical Race Theory and teaches to “disrupt whiteness.”
Co-founder of ATN, Bettina Love, has said that the network “is dedicated to not creating new schools or reimagining schools, but destroying schools that do nothing but harm Black and brown children.”
Links to eight sites were included on a section called “Local & National Organizations on the Fairfax County Public Schools website including FCPS Price, NAKASEC, Second Story, Showing Up for Racial Justice, Black Lives Matter, Mijente, 18 Million Rising and Abolitionist Teaching Network.
The links represented a range of organizations from a teenage crisis charity to the more radical organizations like the Marxist-based Black Lives Matter and Abolitionist Teaching Network that believes the lack of melanin in a person’s skin is a form of oppression itself.
A Fairfax County Public School spokesperson tried to backpedal their support for the group on Friday.
“This content was posted in error by the school and has since been removed from the website,” the spokesperson told Fox News on Friday.
The links appear to have been removed.
It was not clear if the “oopsy” was related to the Biden administration’s “error” of including a link to the ATN in a Department of Education handbook that went out to about 13,000 schools nationwide in April. The link in the DOE handbook has also been removed after backlash.
“FCPS needs adult supervision, and fast,” said Nicole Neily, president of the grassroots organization Parents Defending Education, “It’s a sign things have gone off the rails when the people running the system are recommending resources that advocate burning down the system.”
The organization, devoted to fighting indoctrination in the classroom, recently exposed Michelle Leete, an NAACP and former PTA member in Fairfax County, who seemed to wish death on critics of Critical Race Theory.

“Let them die,” Leete said, which evoked cheers from the crowd.
“Let’s deny this off-key band of people that are anti-education, anti-teacher, anti-equity…anti-admissions policy change, anti-inclusion, anti-live and let live,” she said. “Let them die.”
She, too, tried to reverse course and explained to The Washington Post that she didn’t mean to call for the death of the conservative people, she only meant to wish “death” to “the ideals that show a disregard and lack of support for our teachers who have a truly difficult job to do even without a pandemic.”
Yea, sure that’s what she meant.
“Parents here in Fairfax County are fed up with having critical race theory forced on their students,” Ed McGovern, a Republican candidate for Virginia’s House of Delegates, told Fox News Friday. “It’s sad and unfortunate Virginia schools and the Biden administration are promoting a group that wants our students to fear and hate their peers. Apologizing isn’t enough; we need to completely end critical race theory before the start of next school year and never allow Abolitionist Teaching Network near our kids.”
ATN started mid last year with the goal “to develop and support those in the struggle for educational freedom by utilizing the intellectual work and direct action of Abolitionists in many forms.”
The Biden administration released a statement about ATN earlier this week.
“The Department does not endorse the recommendations of this group, nor do they reflect our policy positions,” the Department of Education said in a statement Wednesday. “It was an error in a lengthy document to include this citation.”
