Nikki Haley, America’s United Nations ambassador under President Trump, is hardly taking the news lightly that Joe Biden’s secretary of state, the man who functions as America’s top diplomat, wants to outsource a systemic racism study to a U.N. agency that is hardly known for its even-handedness.
“China has [one million] Uyghurs in concentration camps, Cuba is beating protesters, and Venezuela is torturing political prisoners. Yet Biden’s Secretary of State is inviting the UN to investigate human rights in the United States — the freest, fairest country in the world. This is INSANE,” Haley wrote on Twitter about Anthony Blinken.
Special Rapporteurs, who would be in charge of the probe, are purportedly independent experts appointed by the U.N. Human Rights Council, which includes communist dictatorships China, Cuba, and Venezuela among its current members. The written report that could ultimately emerge, however, may be just another example of log-rolling by the U.N. bureaucracy.
“The Trump administration pulled out of the Human Rights Council in 2018 due to its anti-Israel bias and the makeup of its membership, which included countries with abysmal human rights records,” Fox News reported.
As Haley, the ex-South Carolina GOP governor, implied, the U.N. is dominated by repressive regimes with many internal problems that the international organization seldom addresses in any meaningful way. Haley has previously described the committee as a “cesspool of political bias that makes a mockery of human rights.”

Last night, Blinken announced on social media that “Responsible nations must not shrink from scrutiny of their human rights record. Rather, they should be transparent with the intent to grow and do better. That is why I’m announcing a formal invitation for @UN Special Rapporteur on contemporary forms of racism to visit the U.S..”
“Blinken’s comments Tuesday suggested that he expected the U.N. officials to be critical of the U.S. for its record on racism,” Fox News added.
U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), among others, expressed similar sentiments as Haley. “@SecBlinken instead of asking the @UN to come here & tell us how “racist” America is, why don’t you ask them to go to #Cuba where an evil socialist regime storms into peoples homes, beats the crap out of them & then drags them away?”

America-Last Democrats push an alternative narrative even as people from all over the globe — many fleeing failed and chaotic socialist nations — want to come here and stay permanently, legally or illegally, by hook or by crook.
Critics argue that Democrats’ alleged desire to unite Americans is nothing more than political posturing, claiming that the left profits far more from inflamed racial and political tensions than it ever would if everyone came together and agreed on core principles.
