Veteran Democrat Party operative James Carville is once again trying to warn Democrats about the perils of going “woke,” but it’s not clear that enough of them are listening.
Speaking on CNN this Tuesday, he pointed to the recent primary results in New York City, where a former police officer defeated several radically far-left “woke” challengers in the city’s mayoral race, as proof that going “woke” doesn’t work.
“I’m very encouraged in what I saw in New York. … Look, there’s this whole noisy identity left [that] is [only] 15 percent of the Democratic Party. … Yet, we pay such a terrible political price for a slightly more than fringe element of our party,” he said.
“The overwhelming number of Democrats, most important constituents, in our party, are blacks and suburban women. They’re not into this, all right? And again, we’re seeing it time and time again. We’re letting a noisy wing of our party define the rest of us. And my point is we can’t do that,” he added.

Continuing his screed, Carville claimed that the fringe element of the Democrat Party isn’t as bad as the fringe element of the Republican Party — but stressed that, despite this, the fringe element is still a problem.
“I think these people are all kind of nice people. I think they’re very naive, and they’re all into language and identity. And that’s all right. They’re not storming the Capitol. But they’re not winning elections,” he said.
“And I think people sort of see this for what it is, and people way more interested in their lives, and how to improve them, than they are in somebody else’s pronoun or something,” he added.
These views were not well-received on social media.

Notice all the lies in the latter tweet above about “voter suppression” and about Republicans allegedly trying to “stop blacks from voting.”
Who do you suppose told them such lies? The answer likely is Democrat operatives just like Carville who routinely propagate their own lies on national television.
During the same CNN appearance Tuesday, for example, Carville falsely claimed that crime had been on a downward trajectory until former President Donald Trump entered the picture.

“Up until the third year of the Trump administration, crime and violent crime in this country had gone down precipitously. The only thing that changed — the cities were always run by Democrats — was the Trump presidency, who was a lawless president, who promoted lawlessness,” he said.
“I’m not a criminologist. But when under Obama … we had precipitous drops in violent crime in this country,” he added.
What he said was a complete lie.
Former President Barack Hussein Obama’s racial politics, as demonstrated by what many saw as his poor handling of the Treyvon Martin and Mike Brown cases, coincided with an uptick in murders that didn’t begin to trend download UNTIL Trump took office in 2017.

The downward trend continued until the eruption of the Democrat Party-supported Black Lives Matter riots of last year.
Carville also defended the highly controversial “For The People Act” that would federalize America’s elections and do away with a whole host of election security measures.
“The Constitution is very explicit in its grant of power to the Congress, to set rules for federal elections. So, I don’t think that there’s any doubt that this is a constitutionally correct bill that we have,” he said.
But that, too, isn’t true.
Reporters describing the For the People Act as “voting rights legislation” are adopting one side’s messaging. Much of the bill overhauls campaign finance, loosens election security, adds (unconstitutional) requirements on running for prez, etc. “Election reform” is more neutral.

Given the lies people like Carville tell all the time, it’s really not surprising that so many members of the Democrat Party base delusionally believe that going “woke” is the ticket to electoral success.
