President Joe Biden never seems to miss an opportunity to please his progressive left handlers, as seen Thursday when he took his empathy tour to Surfside, Fla., where a large portion of the Champlain Towers South Condominium Complex collapsed.
With no evidence whatsoever, Biden threw out the possibility that “global warming” and rising sea levels may have played a role in the collapse that has killed 18 people, with another 145 still unaccounted for.
Naturally, he pushed the remarks off on survivors and families of the victims.
Bloomberg News White House correspondent Nancy Cook, whom the president called “Nancy Bloomberg” when calling on her, appearing to catch her by surprise, asked if there was anything more he learned from investigators or the FEMA administrator about the collapse of the building — par for the course, Biden had an approved list of reporters to call on while taking questions.
“Oh, it’s underway. I don’t — uh, the director of FEMA’s with me here,” Biden said, barely coherent. “We don’t have any firm proof of what’s happened. There’s all kinds of rational speculation about whether or not rebars were rusted, whether or not the cement, uh… whether limestone or not, whether or not…”

He went on to say that a lot of the families who survived were upset over the construction of a new condominium complex built across the street in recent years, adding that they said they “would hear the drilling and they feel their building moving and shaking.”
Continuing on what the families said to him, he then pivoted to the climate.
“There are all kinds of discussions about whether or not they thought that water level rising what impact it had and, interesting to me, I didn’t raise it, but how many of the survivors and how many of the families talked about the impact of global warming,” Biden said. “And they didn’t know exactly, but they talked about sea levels rising and the combination of that, and the concern about incoming storms, incoming tropical storms.”
The mentioning of tropical storms coinciding with Hurricane Elsa approaching the Caribbean, with the Miami area in its extended forecast cone.
“And so, but I don’t think there is at this point any definitive judgment as to why it collapsed,” he continued. “And what can be done to prevent it from happening and what other buildings may have to be inspected to determine if they have the same problems.”
An assessment that might preclude speculation about the climate playing a role.
Social media users were highly skeptical of the assertion. Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story from Twitter:
Since we are blaming everything on Climate Change, clearly the Phoenix Suns are in the NBA finals due to Climate Change as they beat two Los Angeles teams that play at sea level. The LA players must not have performed well because they were worried about the rising oceans.

Apparently now design issues in construction are the fault of climate change. 🙄

Why is he here and not addressing larger issues facing our country? Global Warming? please. #facepalm #headshake

He’s surprised that other people brought it up but not him he’s not bringing it up on a national podium

C’mon man!

Only a fool did not know that was coming.
It neatly fits the narrative and will keep people from asking if any of the people who built that condo project were heavy Democratic contributors.

Is Climate Change responsible for Joe Biden’s dementia?? I’m certain somebody can link the two.

I was okay at first think he should have been there for support. But he lost me at mention of climate change/global warming. Tuned out after that. Thought visit was to support efforts and families but push leftist agenda item I tuned out. Not right to do on any side during this!

Every time he talks behind a podium, he looks like he’s going to fall over.
Near the end, he’s hanging on to the podium for dear life like he did with the handrail as he was tripping up the stairs to Air Force One.
He also struggles to complete a thought. The man is not well.

Project Veritas already caught that CNN on hidden camera saying that this is exactly what they’ll do…
Just sayin
