Meghan McCain announced Thursday that she will be permanently departing “The View” once the current season ends later this month.
She made the announcement in a lengthy speech in which she claimed that her trash-talking co-workers are “the most talented women on all of television hands-down” and that “The View” is “the most important political show in America.”
After lavishing herself and her coworkers with praise, she concluded her speech by accusing the media of “misogyny and sexism” over its reporting of the show and its endless scandals. To hear McCain tell it, the reporting would have looked different had five guys been duking it out publicly with nasty insults and loud shouting.
“The media needs to do a better job of covering the women on this show. We are covered with deep misogyny and sexism by the media. If five men were doing what we do every day, I believe we would have a Pulitzer prize at this point,” she said.

Why is the media covering @TheView at all?
It’s not newsworthy.

“It’s always reduced to, you know, really reductive coverage, and I implore the media to do better as they cover the rest of you going forward,” McCain added.
Listen to her full speech below:
Much of the speech was full of self-adulating praise.
“I have had so many amazing experiences in my life, and this is definitely one of the top. It is a privilege to work alongside such strong, brilliant, intelligent, incredible broadcasters like the four of you. You are the most talented women on all of television hands-down, and it has been so incredible to do this with you,” she said.
“Before I came onto the show, I didn’t want to join the show … and it was my dad who encouraged me to do it, and he said I couldn’t give up an opportunity to work with an iconic show and to work with Whoopi Goldberg,” she added.
According to McCain, her father was right.
“Since we’ve been here the last four years together, we’ve won an Emmy, we’ve gone to number one, we’ve been parodied on ‘Saturday Night Live’ and we were on the cover of my personal favorite, The New York Times Magazine, as the most important political show in America.”
She wasn’t technically wrong. The left-wing magazine ran a piece in 2019 dubiously claiming “The View” is “an essential campaign stop for Democrats and Republicans.”
The problem is that the show’s hosts are notorious for being wrong about everything, in large part because they tend to swallow Democrat Party talking points whole. This, likewise, is why Republicans account for less than 13 percent of the show’s regular audience, according to the consumer-intelligence company MRI-Simmons.
In short, the show is for Democrats, which is why McCain’s announcement provoked an outpouring of celebration — not disappointment — among the show’s viewers.

Meghan McCain being appreciative of Lindsey Graham’s praise of her tells you all you need to know of what her agenda was on #TheView. Good riddance.

Meghan McCain is leaving The View. Bye.

She finally said something that I wanted to hear. Too bad she’s staying until the end of July

Not soon enough. You are a traitor to all women. White supremacy is evil. You are a white supremacist.

Finally. Just waiting to see what wack job conservative they bring in now for “balance”. Like why is there code words like “balance or bipartisanship” other than for ratings. Neither of them speak or create truth. They make cover for profiteering of the lie supply from the right.

This is the show’s base. Not conservatives, not libertarians and not centrists, but leftists. Far-leftists who are against hearing dissenting opinions and, in fact, think anyone with a dissenting opinion is a “white supremacist.”
As for conservatives, they never really liked McCain, but they appreciated that she’d sometimes drop conservative truth bombs on the show’s hosts and viewers.
But her on the way out, however, some conservatives would prefer that she be replaced with the type of firebrand who drops conservative truth bombs all day, every day.
Someone like, say, the one and only Candace Owens:
The View can’t replace Meghan McCain with another white woman but they do need a conservative so Candance Owens welcome to ABC

Honestly watching Joy Behar & Candace Owens battle each other would be highly entertaining
— Bella (@bella_winter_1) July 1, 2021
The liberals on the view would be slaughtered if Candace Owens was the replacement

Really looking forward to Candace Owens replacing Meghan McCain on The View 🥰
