CNN is so consumed with hatred for Donald Trump that they are willing to cut off their nose to spite their face — then again, desperate for ratings, the network knows dumping on all things Trump draws eyeballs.
Jake Tapper, the sanctimonious lead Trump-hater at CNN, an anchor who sells his liberal propaganda under the guise of honesty, targeted former Attorney General Bill Barr on Monday, claiming the former Trump official changed his tune on voter fraud claims.
While still fully committed to dismissing any concerns about possible irregularities in the election, Tapper was clearly comparing apples to oranges.
Referencing an interview Barr did with ABC White House correspondent Jonathan Karl for Karl’s upcoming book, Tapper zeroed in on Barr’s response to the claims of widespread voter fraud in the 2020 election leveled by former President Donald Trump.
“He wants people to know the whole time he thought Trump’s ‘big lie’ allegations were, in his words, and I apologize parents, all bullsh*t, with no substantial evidence of election fraud. But in the leadup to the election, Barr seemed to be taking a quite different approach,” he said.

Tapper played a montage of comments from Barr months before the 2020 election, where he expressed general concerns about widespread mail-in voting being rife with opportunities for fraud.
“That was then, this is now,” the CNN anchor said. “Barr is now admitting publicly in this print interview on December 1st, of course, he also said that there was no evidence of widespread voter fraud. He said that right before he resigned.”
Never mind that the clips Tapper played were from June and September 2020, and did not have anything to do with claims Trump would make after the November election — unless Barr somehow had the ability to see into the future.
At a time when Democrats were looking to exploit the pandemic and push for national mail-in voting, he stressed that this had never been done before and that “people have to have confidence in the results of the election and the legitimacy of the government.”
As for what he told Karl, Barr was talking about a lack of evidence to support Trump’s voter fraud claims.
“My attitude was: It was put-up or shut-up time,” he said in the interview. “If there was evidence of fraud, I had no motive to suppress it. But my suspicion all the way along was that there was nothing there. It was all bullsh*t.”
Trump’s attorney general used the BS term again in regard to concerns that voting machines were rigged to switch votes from Trump to Joe Biden.
“We realized from the beginning it was just bullsh*t,” Barr said, after noting that the idea was dismissed by cyber-security experts.
Barr did approve a Justice Department investigation into “substantial allegations” of widespread voter fraud after the election, explaining the probe “may be conducted if there are clear and apparently credible allegations of irregularities that, if true, could potentially impact the outcome of a federal election in an individual State.”
As Karl noted in his book, according to The Atlantic, Barr “expected” Trump to lose.
“He also knew that at some point, Trump was going to confront him about the allegations, and he wanted to be able to say that he had looked into them and that they were unfounded,” he added.
The book also claimed that Barr said now-Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell had urged him in mid-November to speak out against Trump’s voter fraud claims, as it was damaging to the country and to the Republican Party.
“Look, we need the president in Georgia, and so we cannot be frontally attacking him right now,” McConnell purportedly told Barr. “But you’re in a better position to inject some reality into this situation. You are really the only one who can do it.”
