A McDonald’s customer got hot when employees told her that she couldn’t mix the flavors in her slushie frozen drink in one cup. An all-out brawl in the Akron, Ohio-area eatery then ensued.
In footage that has gone viral, the irate woman appears to engage in some unauthorized self-service by going behind the counter and grappling with two of the store’s employees, while dropping the b-word and f-bombs repeatedly.
One of the employees, who is apparently the manager, tries to de-escalate the situation and gets punched in the face and her mask pulled off for her trouble but remains composed.
The customer also seems to indicate that she is willing to “go to prison” for an assault after being informed that the dispute is on video. The other employee warns the woman not to touch her boss again.
Just when things appear to cool down, however, round two occurs, as the woman returns to the counter from the beverage station and throws a cup of ice at that employee, and they begin fighting. The unhappy customer winds up on the floor as the McDonald’s worker delivers blows to her head. Once on her feet, the woman starts fighting again just as cops arrive.
Brian Allen, a bystander who recorded the McDonald’s meltdown with his cell phone in a video that has gone viral after it was uploaded to Facebook, told Cleveland’s 19 News that “I heard her ask for a slushie with all three flavors mixed into one. Whereupon the manager informed her that they could not do that, and she became increasingly irritated and combative and decided that she would go behind the counter and fix her own drink.
“I was concerned that she may start hurting somebody. So, I started recording in case law enforcement needed the tape for any kind of evidence of the assault,” he added about the incident that occurred in Ravenna, Ohio.
Allen captioned his video with the message “Craziness is out in full force, just saw this at Ravenna McDonald’s.”

In her initial court appearance, the suspect’s demeanor was remorseful. She faces two counts of first-degree misdemeanor assault and has pleaded not guilty.
Upon a conviction, which has yet to be determined, the maximum penalty on each count is up to six months in county jail, plus a $1,000 fine for each offense.
A judge also ordered her to stay away from the restaurant and have no contact with the victims and set her bond at $1,000.
The suspect is due back in court in Portage County at a date to be determined.

Multiple media accounts identify the suspect as Cherysse Cleveland, 44.
Particularly in the past few years, fast-food freakouts of various kinds have occurred in quick-service restaurants across the country, typically captured on video. For whatever reason, “hangry” customers take their food and drink orders very seriously, which sometimes creates hazardous conditions for themselves, employees, and other patrons when things get physical.
Here is a sampling of the Twitter response to this incident:
The last thing this honorable McDonalds customer needs is three times the mixed up sugar and flavoring in cup! Imagine what kind of blitzkrieg she would have brought upon them if they accommodated her. 😱

I can’t imagine why businesses are having trouble getting people to come back to their minimum wage service industry jobs.

McDonald’s has slushies now? She could have just gone to a gas station and mixed all the flavors she wanted.
