Rep. Majorie Taylor Greene jokingly impersonated a Mexican cartel member while on stage during an “America First” rally with fellow GOP Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), then laughed at herself for the “really bad” accent.
“They’re in business helping the cartels. The cartels love the Democrats,” Greene said, according to a video clip posted online.
“Yeah, they’re down there like this: ‘We’re makin’ a lotta money off of Biden. Joe Biden!’ That’s my really bad Mexican accent,” she said.
My brain has no idea how to even begin to process this. pic.twitter.com/KwGVqrJLq7

Several social media users were critical of Greene over her impression, which comes amid ongoing controversy surrounding comments she made comparing the way Democrats want to treat Americans who have not been vaccinated for COVID-19 to the way Nazis in Germany first began treating Jews ahead of Hitler’s “final solution.
I honestly thought she was a stand up comedian who was bombing in front of the crowd….

That may be the single most offensive (and incoherent) 30 seconds I have ever heard come out of the mouth of a federally elected official. The “Mexican accent” imitation should be played ad nauseum on Hispanic radio/tv. She should be the death knell of GOP Hispanic outreach.

I honestly didn’t think it was possible to find someone who may actually be able to top Trump as a massive joke till I saw this video.

Greene made her Nazi Germany-Jews comparison as criticism of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s continued insistence that members wear masks in the chamber, even those who have been vaccinated, which runs counter to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention science guidance.
“This woman is mentally ill,” the Georgia Republican told Newsmax TV last week. “You know, we can look back in a time in history where people were told to wear a gold star and they were definitely treated like second-class citizens, so much so that they were put in trains and taken to gas chambers in Nazi Germany. And this is exactly the type of abuse that Nancy Pelosi is talking about.”
The comment also led to some criticism from Republicans including House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.). “Marjorie is wrong, and her intentional decision to compare the horrors of the Holocaust with wearing masks is appalling,” he tweeted in response.
Within a few weeks of the new Congress gaveling into session, Democrats made good on threats to strip Greene of her assignments on the Education, Labor, and Budget committees for comments she made prior to even being elected regarding the QAnon conspiracy and for ‘liking’ a tweet that called for harm against Pelosi.
Eleven Republicans joined all Democrats to boot her from her assignments. At the time, McCarthy took Greene’s side, noting, “This resolution sets a dangerous new standard that will only deepen divisions within this House.”
He was joined in his criticism by other Republicans including Rep. Ralph Norman (R-S.C.), who tweeted, “The vote to strip Rep. Greene of her committees being considered today is reckless and rash. This sets a dangerous precedent for ALL future members of Congress.” He added: “Considering all of the things Dems have said and done in recent memory, this is liberal hypocrisy on full display.”
To that point, Democrats and many in the major media frequently referred to former President Donald Trump, his administration, and Republicans who backed him as “Nazis” while comparing Trump to Hitler.
