Squad’s Rashida Tlaib confronts Biden in heated exchange on tarmac

President Joe Biden was in Dearborn, Michigan on Tuesday to push electric vehicles, visiting the Ford Motor Co. Rouge Electric Vehicle Center, but he first had to get through U.S. Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich.

Greeted on the Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport tarmac by Tlaib and U.S. Rep. Debbie Dingell, D-Mich, the president “engaged in a tense, roughly eight-minute conversation” with Tlaib, Fox News reported.

“At one point, Biden patted the congresswoman’s shoulder,” the network added. He would also put his arm around Dingle, who inherited her seat from her late husband, who held it for 59 years.

Tlaib, a Palestinian-American, did not comment on the exchange with Biden, but she still has family in Gaza, to include her grandmother. The region is under fire as Israel strikes back at the Hamas terrorist organization for the thousands of missiles raining down from the sky — the more effective Israel is at hurting Hamas, the more strenuous the cries for a cease fire are.

During a speech at the Ford factory, Biden lavishly complimented Tlaib and vowed to do everything he can to keep her grandmother safe — calling Tlaib by her first name, the president mispronounced it three times, calling her Rashid instead of Rashida.

“I tell you what, Rashid, I want to say to you that I admire your intellect, I admire your passion, and I admire your concern for so many other people. And it’s from my heart,” Biden said. “I pray that your Grandma and family are well, I promise to do everything to see that they are in the West Bank.”

“You’re a fighter,” he added, though he mistakenly referred to her name incorrectly. “And God, thank you for being a fighter.”

Here is an example of how much of a fighter Tlaib is, as she’s being physically tossed out of a 2016 Donald Trump campaign event while screaming at attendees.

Biden’s response to Tlaib shows just how beholden he is to the extreme wing of the Democratic Party. As he often does, the president is trying to walk a fine line here in supporting Israel while not angering the radicals in the party.

An aide for Tlaib’s office said in a statement that the congresswoman conveyed to the president on the tarmac her dissatisfaction with the U.S. response to the conflict, and told him Palestinians must be protected — there was no mention of protecting Israeli residents from Hamas rockets.

“Palestinian human rights are not a bargaining chip and must be protected, not negotiated,” the aide said Tlaib expressed to Biden, according to NPR. “The U.S. cannot continue to give the right-wing [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu government billions each year to commit crimes against Palestinians. Atrocities like bombing schools cannot be tolerated, much less conducted with U.S.-supplied weapons.”

A ranking member of “the squad,” a small group of radical left Democratic lawmakers who are all bitterly anti-Israel, Tlaib and fellow squad member U.S. Rep. Ilham Omar, D-Minn., were the first two Muslim women elected to Congress.

Tlaib has a long history of anti-Semitic behavior, and once spoke of the “calm feeling” she experienced when thinking about the Holocaust.

The hard-left zealot has also called for Palestinian freedom “from the river to the sea,” which is “code for eradicating the State of Israel and its millions of Jews,” according to StopAntiSemitism.org. The phrase is a popular Hamas rallying cry.

On Monday, in an interview on MSNBC, Tlaib called on Biden to be “very aggressive” in denouncing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The president continues to insist that Israel has a right to defend itself, much to the chagrin of the haters.

“Enough, President Biden,” Tlaib said. “You will not do this on our watch. You have to speak out against this violence in a very aggressive way that holds Netanyahu and his leadership accountable.”

She took to Twitter the same day to regurgitate the squad’s “apartheid” narrative, as she called on Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken to get out of the way of the U.N. Security Council and join other countries in demanding a cease-fire.

“Apartheid-in-chief Netanyahu will not listen to anyone asking nicely,” she tweeted. “He commits war crimes and openly violates international law.”
