Space Force Commander ousted for exposing CRT in military says he’s backed by ‘thousands’ of troops

Lt. Col. Matthew Lohmeier, the now former commander of a U.S. Space Force unit, appeared on Fox News’ “Hannity” to discuss his removal after self-publishing a book highlighting what he sees as creeping Marxism throughout the American military.

The colonel told Fox News earlier he has received “thousands” of notes from fellow service members who tell him they feel they’ve “lost their voice” in the military.

Lt. Gen. Stephen Whiting, chief of Space Operations Command, dismissed Lohmeier on Friday citing a loss of confidence in his leadership abilities, although Fox News host Sean Hannity reported Monday evening that not only did Lohmeier say he consulted with his superiors on the issue, but that he obtained counsel from a public affairs officer.

Yet, he was still removed after “he made explosive revelations about the increasing presence of Marxist and critical race theory ideologies inside the U.S. military,” the Fox News host said, before reading a DOD disclaimer that his guest was “speaking in his personal capacity [and] his views don’t necessarily reflect the official policy of the Department of Defense.”

“That statement you just read that came from Air Force public affairs,” Lohmeier said. “I include in the front of my book three times, once in the copyright page, once on the front matter and again in the introduction to the book.”

The book, titled “Irresistible Revolution: Marxism’s Goal of Conquest & the Unmaking of the American Military,” explores topics like systemic racism, asking if it’s a reality or is the focus more of a means to divide Americans, and questions whether there’s really a white supremacy or white nationalist problem within our armed forces.

“What happened is I began noticing some time ago, not just in the past few months but over the past several years, an increasing relevance of what I saw was Marxist ideology parading around by other names,” he added.

Lohmeier said Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin issued a guidance memorandum on extremist ideology, which is essentially what he was doing.

“[Austin] basically gave an injunction to every service member to combat extremist ideologies within the force where they saw them,” he explained. “And to take it upon ourselves to protect one another and to speak up and educate one another about extremist ideologies when we discover them causing divisions within the force.”

Stressing that the Defense Department is good at establishing zero-tolerance for any discrimination, Lohmeier said he made it clear to his unit that he would not tolerate discrimination based on politics.

“Let me give you one example of what I saw in the past ten months when I was in command of the unit, there were videos being sent out to every base service member that we were asked to watch in preparation for extremism down days and discussions on the race in which they were taught that the country was evil, that is was founded in 1619, not 1776, and that whites are inherently evil. So I did speak up against those things in my book,” he said.

Lohmeier, who retains his rank but has been reassigned within the Space Force, told Fox News Digital he is being “misportrayed” online in regards to the comments about Marxism he made on a podcast earlier this month.

“I don’t believe I was being partisan. It is not politically partisan to expose or attack critical race theory or Marxism,” he said. “The reason I say that is because critical race theory and Marxism are antithetical to American values. Critical race theory fuels narratives that attack America’s founding documents.”

At least, these things were antithetical to American values before 2008.
