The situation along the southern U.S. border has grown so dire that one Texas rancher felt compelled to provide her two teenage daughters with firearms training so that they’re capable of protecting themselves in case they are attacked.

Speaking on Fox News’ “America’s Newsroom” this Wednesday, rancher Stephanie Crisp-Canales said she felt there was no other option because the federal government, currently run by Democrat President Joe Biden, has done nothing to stop the influx.

“They’re well trained in gun safety, and they know what to do if somebody breaks in. It’s a scary talk to have to have with your kids, but we’re really faced with no choice down here right now,” she said.

She added that it’s become a frequent occurrence for “bail-outs” to occur on her property.

A bail-out, she explained, is when illegals are driven into the U.S. and then “bail out” of the vehicle once they arrive here.

“A U.S. citizen will secure a vehicle, usually illegally, they will come south, and they will pick up as many illegals in that vehicle as they can because that person, which is known as the coyote, they’re being paid per person. So as many people as they can pack in, they do,” Crisp-Canales explained.

“And when they come north, our law enforcement will inevitably try to pull them over, and they will do everything they can to evade being captured, so they will go off-roads through ranch land, and they go through our fences, our gates, destroy property. They crash, and when they come to a stop, everybody in the vehicle bails, and that’s why it’s called out a bail-out,” she added.

And she’s apparently encountered many of them on her property, thanks in large part to the Biden administration’s refusal to tackle the influx of illegal aliens.

“The federal government needs to act, whether it’s building the wall or putting back into place the laws that were there in the last administration, because what’s happening now, it’s out of control. It’s an invasion at this point,” she said.

She’s not the first, nor will she likely be the last, rancher to highlight the precarious conditions along the border.

Speaking on the same program back in March, Texas ranch owner John Sewell reported the exact same thing.

“I’ve been here about 25 years, so I’ve seen — under many, many administrations — I’ve seen lots of trouble, but I’ve never seen it at this level, and I’ve never seen it with this quality of people,” he said.

Sewell explained that, while there’s always been an issue of illegal aliens crossing the border, the recent numbers were through the roof and, more notably, the illegals were far more confrontational, to the point that he wasn’t allowing his daughter to exercise outdoors anymore unless she was accompanied by a dog.

“I have a daughter I won’t let walk on the driveway to jog or exercise because of this without having a dog with her,” he said.

During a follow-up appearance in late April, Sewell reported that nothing had changed because the hands of U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents were tied.

“They basically said their hands are tied and the best thing for us is to work with our state reps, our Congress, so on, and so our local officials are all doing as much as they can. … So, you know, it’s very unfortunate that we don’t have support from our local army, from our CBP,” he told Perino, according to Fox News.

Dovetailing back to the present, Crisp-Canales’ confirmation that the same thing is happening on her ranch came a day after CBP announced its shocking apprehension numbers for April.

Her Fox News interview likewise came a day after 20 governors, all of them Republicans, submitted a letter to Biden demanding that he start taking the border crisis seriously and put a halt to it already.

The letter began with the governors fact-checking the administration’s incessant lies about the border: “Contrary to statements from your Administration, the border is neither closed nor secure,” they wrote.

The letter continued with the governors slamming the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services for trying to pawn off its illegal aliens to their states and, worse, trying to “circumvent” their authority by doing it under their noses.

“[T]he Department circumvented our states altogether by asking private organizations and nonprofits to house unaccompanied migrant children. Often these facilities lack adequate security,” they wrote.

“Allowing the federal government to place a potentially unlimited number of unaccompanied migrant children into our states’ facilities for an unspecified length of time with almost zero transparency is unacceptable and unsustainable,” they added.
