White House official fesses up that Biden admin ‘had a plan from the beginning’ on migrant surge

President Joe Biden’s administration finally fessed up to the cause of the crisis at the border, brought about by the influx of unaccompanied children arriving in the United States in droves since Biden took office.

That was the plan all along.

White House Deputy Communications Director Pilo Tobar admitted in a tweet on Friday that they “had a plan from the beginning.”

It appears that the plan was to allow the flood of illegal border crossings and get the migrants to sponsors or family members as soon as possible. Tobar also mentioned that the “plan is working.”

The influx of illegals, including many unaccompanied children crossing with the assistance of human traffickers, appears to be attributable to President Biden’s intentionally lax border policies.

The policies are working so well that, according to a Fox News report, 18,890 unaccompanied children arrived at the border in March, double the already high numbers of children that arrived the month prior. Over 22,000 children are now in custody according to a recent Associated Press report.

The “plan” also appears to include spending billions in taxpayer funding. Since February, the Biden Administration has spent around $3 billion in contracts to house unaccompanied children at the border. That’s nearly a billion dollars a month for a problem that didn’t exist before Biden’s inauguration in January.

Several of the contracts, amounting to more than $2 billion in funding, were awarded to only three companies in a no-bid process.

Worse still is the fact that the companies hired to build and manage the shelters for children are surprisingly exempt from meeting state-mandated child facility requirements and have no background in running children’s facilities. The lack of regulations is particularly concerning when a report of a migrant facility for girls mysteriously shut down last month after a death of a staffer at the facility.

Reactions to the planned surge at the border aren’t favorable:

“We’re down to about 1,830 people per day right now,” said Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas on Friday in reference to the number of people crossing the border illegally. “Unfortunately, we’re still seeing a fairly high population of migrant children are coming across — 270 a day right now, the last 21 days.”

President Biden made a statement earlier this year that the influx was due to him being, “a nice guy.” His administration has also alleged the issue is due to the Trump administration’s lack of proper planning. But Tobar’s admission appears to confirm Biden was just paying lip service to the media and that he was well aware of the “plan” all along.

Kamala Harris, who was tasked with addressing the “root causes” of the migration crisis on March 24, has yet to visit the border, although she recently met with Guatemalan and Mexican leaders virtually and is planning to visit the two countries in person next month. One has to wonder if the trip is going to be a planning session to funnel more democrat voters into the country, regardless of the human rights crisis it may cause.
