‘He would know’: Cuomo slammed after shaming unvaccinated youth who could ‘kill’ grandma with a kiss

Given the circumstances at this stage of the game, one might think that New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo would keep his yap shut about the wellbeing of grandmothers — but then, one might also think Cuomo would have resigned in disgrace long before now.

At a Monday press briefing, the shameless Democrat, who faces a myriad of sexually inappropriate behavior allegations, had the audacity to warn New Yorkers that they could kill their grandmother with a kiss if they don’t get vaccinated against COVID-19.

This coming from the governor who not only required nursing homes in the state to take in COVID-19 patients, but then worked to cover up the true death totals in these facilities out of concern over a possible Justice Department investigation. A cover up that the New York Post said Monday “was even worse than we’d thought,” reporting that “on top of blocking health officials from telling the truth, senior staffers also quashed a scientific paper that reported the true fatality total.”

The country is nearing the point where most who wanted a vaccine have gotten it and there’s a push to convince the more skeptical to fall in line. Young people, who are less at risk of a fatal reaction to the virus, make up a large percentage of those who remain unvaccinated, and Cuomo said the state is targeting the “youthful” and “doubtful.”

“My argument is, yeah, maybe you’ll be fine. And by the way, you don’t know that either. We’ve had a lot of young people who have died,” Cuomo said, before taking his fearmongering to the next level. “Maybe you will get a long haul syndrome that we’re not really sure what it is yet, but a lingering consequence of COVID. Or maybe you go home and kiss your grandmother and wind up killing your grandmother. So, show some civic responsibility.”

Of course, if grandma is vaccinated, why would she be at risk? That is, assuming she survived Cuomo’s short term order last year that proved to be a death sentence for so many seniors.

As for the aforementioned DOJ probe, Cuomo brushed it aside Monday as little more than a “political investigation, started by Donald Trump.”

Repeating the line applied to the sex scandal, the governor said of the nursing home scandal: “I did nothing wrong and… period. And I’m not resigning and I’m doing my job every day.”

This would have been an ideal time for a reporter to ask a follow up about the report that his administration hid the real death total for months and actively tried to cover this up, but it was not to be.

And if that wasn’t audacious enough, Cuomo lectured the media about “telling the truth” because “the truth works.”

Commenting on the subway, the governor essentially announced to millions of New Yorkers that the trains are not safe while touting himself as being “New York tough.”

“Come on the subway, it’s safe. Oh, really? Have you been on the subway? Because I have and I was scared,” he said. “Tell your child to run the subway — ride the subway. It’s safe. Yeah. I’m not telling my child to ride the subway because I am afraid for my child.”

“So if you ignore the problem, you’re not fooling anyone,” Cuomo said. “You’re not deceiving anyone…. People are smart, tell them the truth. The truth works, right. And acknowledging the problem, a problem you deny you will never solve.”

Fox News senior meteorologist Janice Dean, who lost both of her parents-in-law last year in New York nursing homes, slammed Cuomo.

“He has some nerve shaming others for possibly endangering their grandparents,” she said, according to Fox News. “Over 15,000 elderly are no longer with us thanks in part to his deadly policy to re-admit infected patients into nursing homes. If anyone knows how to kill a grandma, it’s Andrew Cuomo.”

Dean also said in a tweet: “He would know — both about kissing people and killing grandparents.”
