Derek Chauvin has been found guilty on all counts by a jury — two counts of murder and one count of manslaughter. Barack Hussein Obama celebrated the verdict, saying, “the jury did the right thing.” The jury might very well have done the right thing, had the mob not interfered. Derek Chauvin did not get a fair trial. The upshot of the mobs’ threats to riot and the enormous pressure from prominent Democrats to ensure a guilty verdict ensured that no justice could be served. Derek Chauvin was sentenced by the mob, rather than the law.
The Derek Chauvin trial isn’t about Derek Chauvin, but about the proliferation of mob justice sweeping across America today. This same plague swept across America in 1838, when Abraham Lincoln was only a 28 year old Illinois State House representative.
In 1838 a mulatto man, who had committed the undisputed crime of murder, “was seized in the street, dragged to the suburbs of [St. Louis], chained to a tree, and actually burned to death” by a mob. But unlike Obama, who encouraged mob justice, saying, “While today’s verdict may have been a necessary step on the road to progress it was far from sufficient one. We cannot rest,” Lincoln called it an “ill omen.” One of these Illinois representatives is right and one of them is wrong. I don’t know about you, but I’ll take Lincoln’s wisdom over Obama’s poison any day.
While Obama seeks to destroy America, Lincoln sought to heal America. Lincoln revered the law, and Obama despises the law. Lincoln condemned mob rule, while Obama celebrates it. Obama hates America and Lincoln loved America.
The truth is, most Americans condemned Derek Chauvin. Like the murderer in 1838, Chauvin represented a portion of the population, which is “worse than useless in any community.” His sentencing would likely have been of little consequence had he been sentenced by the law. The problem is that he was not.
Lincoln admitted in 1838 that the murderer “had forfeited his life, by the perpetration of an outrageous murder, upon one of the most worthy and respectable citizens of the city; and had not he died as he did, he must have died by the sentence of the law, in a very short time afterwards.” So what was the problem? Why did Lincoln call this mob justice an “ill omen?”
“When men take it in their heads today to hang gamblers, or burn murderers,” Lincoln said, “they should recollect, that, in the confusion usually attending such transactions, they will be as likely to hang or burn some one who is neither a gambler nor a murderer as one who is; and that, acting upon the example they set, the mob of tomorrow, may, and probably will, hang or burn some of them by the very same mistake.”
The mob justice displayed by the Derek Chauvin trial is an existential threat to the perpetuation of our institutions, which ensure peace, tranquility, freedom, and prosperity in America. “Wild and furious passions” have supplanted the “sober judgement of courts.” Worse, it represents the “increasing disregard for law, which pervades the country.” Lincoln rightly warned “thus it goes on, step by by step, till all the walls erected for the defense of the persons and property of individuals, are trodden down, and disregarded.”
To celebrate the Chauvin verdict is to celebrate the decay, destruction, and National suicide of America. Dan Bongino was correct when he told Geraldo Rivera, “The country will burn to the ground because of people like you.” Bongino was referring to Rivera’s dangerous, ignorant, and dishonest suggestion that cops are targeting black Americans. But America will burn to the ground because of irresponsible and dangerous anti-Americans like Obama, Biden, and other Marxist democrats.
The good news is that there is a simple solution to fortify America against such a fate. “Let every American, every lover of liberty, every well wisher to his posterity, swear by the blood of the Revolution, never to violate in the least particular, the laws of the country; and never to tolerate their violation by others,” Lincoln advised in 1838. The frightful question though is, “how many lovers of liberty are there?” and “will we learn from history or be doomed to repeat it?”
But Obama is partially correct. The Derek Chauvin verdict is progress; only towards self destruction and National suicide. If the Democrat Party has its way, America will burn.
