Aggrieved Rep Ted Lieu calls Mike Huckabee a ‘sh*thead,’ says ‘it’s gonna be lit’

Op-ed views and opinions expressed are solely those of the author.

Perpetually aggrieved Democratic lawmakers like Rep. Ted Lieu are quick to embrace victimhood, as it provides a pathway to the attention they desperately seek.

Lieu responded to a tweet from former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee, attacking the Republican over a tweet the California congressman twisted to meet his identity politics needs.

Taking aim at several entities that opted to align with the Democratic disinformation campaign about Georgia’s voter reform law, Huckabee posted a clever tweet targeting the liberal embrace of Communist China here in the United States.

Huckabee tweeted: “I’ve decided to ‘identify’ as Chinese. Coke will like me, Delta will agree with my ‘values’ and I’ll probably get shoes from Nike & tickets to MLB games. Ain’t America great?”

Hey Mike Huckabee, I asked around and Coke likes me, Delta agrees with my values, I wear Nikes and my hometown Dodgers won the World Series. But it’s not because of my ethnicity. It’s because I’m not a sh*thead like you who is adding fuel to anti-Asian hate,” Lieu tweeted, adding the hashtag #StopAAPIHate.

While Lieu endeavored to make the issue about ethnicity, Huckabee’s focus was on political values. Clearly.

The tweet follows on the heels of MLB pulling the All-Star game out of Atlanta, and signing a deal with the Communist Party-backed Chinese tech company Tencent the very same week.

In these polarizing times, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to understand that radical left politicians embrace certain companies for a reason. And Lieu gave a full-throated endorsement of Coca-Cola, Delta and Nike.

Just as Democrats tried to blame Trump for a recent wave of violence against people of Asian descent, despite characteristics suggesting those perpetrating the violence may not be Trump supporters, Lieu tried to tie Huckabee’s tweet to the surge.

Lieu also took heat for trying to dunk on Ben Shapiro, who advocated for apolitical institutions in the wake of the fallout over Georgia’s voter reform law. Saying he is not a fan of boycotts, Shapiro tweeted, “Stop funding those who seek your destruction.”

Lieu’s response was to defend those who backed his party’s false narrative about voter suppression.

“Dude, you’re stupid,” the Democrat tweeted. “There is only one version of Major League Baseball. Any competitor league will go bankrupt. And Puma Air just doesn’t have the same ring as Nike Air Max 270.”

And while Lieu was widely praised by the left for his clapback, the inference to communism was not lost on all social media users:

Nor was his lack of decorum in calling Huckabee, once a pastor, a “sh*thead.”
