‘Don’t you EVER accuse me’: Judge Jeanine dropkicks Joy Behar over migrant children distortion

Fox News host Judge Jeanine Pirro excoriated “The View” co-host Joy Behar on Saturday for having smeared her with a Media Matters-crafted lie.

During an appearance on Fox News’ “The Five” last week, Pirro described some of what she’d heard when she recently traveled to the border. She spoke specifically about one sheriff who warned that children were being brought in by cartels for a life of “modern-day slavery.”

“The bringing of these children into this country, where they will be forever connected to a cartel, is slavery. What we’re doing here is we are promoting a lower level of human being, who will be controlled from other countries,” she said.

Following her appearance on “The Five,” the left-wing propaganda group Media Matters and its mainstream media proxies like HuffPost began accusing Pirro of describing the children themselves as “a lower level of human being.”

Listen to her words for yourself:

Now flash-forward to Thursday, when Behar predictably regurgitated Media Matters’ propaganda to her audience of millions and then went on to rant and rave at Pirro.

“You should be ashamed of yourself. We’re going into some weird territory here when you say something about another human being like that. Jeanine, I used to know you. I used to like you. What the hell is going on with you, Jeanine, that you would say such a thing about human children?” she said.

Listen:

The veteran Fox News host did not take kindly to the smear. In a five-minute-long lecture Saturday night, she slammed Behar for being one of those people “who think they know everything, pontificate on things about which they have no experience, no frame of reference, but still assume, presume and fancy they know it all.”

“I just came back from the southwest border having actually interviewed people on the front lines who say that children are being trafficked by the cartels and forced into a lower level of human being,” she said on Fox News’ “Justice w/Judge Jeanine.”

“The sheriff in charge of the largest southwest international border area in the United States … says that what’s happening to these children is ‘modern-day slavery.’ The children ultimately become slaves to the cartel.”

Sometimes even sex slaves.

Listen to Pirro’s stern lecture below:

In 2016 the Associated Press published a bombshell report documenting how, during the Obama administration, there were times when the government would place illegal children in a home and then later return to the home to check up on the children, only to discover that they and their guardians had disappeared.

But it gets worse.

“[HHS’ Office of Refugee Resettlement] bars releasing children to people who have been convicted of child abuse or neglect or violent felonies like homicide and rape. But in November, a whistleblower told Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, that federal authorities had placed unaccompanied children with convicted criminals,” the AP reported.

The whistleblower alleged that 3,400 sponsors listed in a government database had criminal histories including homicide, child molestation, sexual assault and human trafficking, according to Grassley’s office.”

Continuing her lecture, Pirro tried to explain these realities to Behar.

“Consider this: 20 percent of the children brought here have no known family in the United States. Transnational cartels seize upon them, putting them in harm’s way and use and abuse these young children physically and sexually, even keeping them under the cartel’s thumb once they are in the United States,” she said.

“Because they have no family here, they are then forced to continue to work for the cartel. We’re not even taking DNA, which for these lost children would help identify them. To me, that’s placing innocent, vulnerable children in a deadly environment, forcing them to be a lower level human that any reasonable person would recognize as abhorrent. It is those children I spoke about on Fox, the ones who were being trafficked, abused and brought across the border, who then become slaves to sex traffickers.”

Indeed, and it’s entirely to the cartels’ benefit when powerful figures like Behar defend the very policies responsible for endangering these children’s lives.

Pirro continued by drawing a contrast between her life experiences and those of Behar. While Behar has spent so much of her adult life spouting propaganda from her bully pulpit at “The View,” Pirro spent a large chunk of hers genuinely fighting for the very kids whom Behar purports to care about.

“As D.A., I prosecuted cases like these on behalf of victims, many of whom didn’t speak English, and were afraid to speak in their native tongue because the cartels held families in their home country under the threat of violence or retribution,” she explained.

“I provided translators to help protect these victims. My mission, Joy, has been protecting children my whole career. I started one of the first child abuse units in the nation. Check your favorite paper, The New York Times.”

Fact-check: TRUE.

I didn’t talk about it. I did it. I fought the system and made it happen. … I didn’t just talk to talk, Joy, about children being raped, scalded or beaten to death. I did something about it … and you want to lecture me?” Pirro continued.

I helped people escape violence, and I punished those who committed that violence. I didn’t talk about it. I didn’t put myself on a chair in front of a camera and yap about something. I fought, I prosecuted, I convicted, I sentenced. And when the laws weren’t strong enough I fought to change the laws.”

Meanwhile, Behar told jokes at night clubs and made appearances on TV show after TV show …

Concluding her stern lecture, Pirro suggested Behar follow her lead and start walking the walk instead of just talking the loud, obnoxious talk.

I created task forces and provided shelters and safe havens, connecting with churches and social services and mental health professionals, so don’t you ever accuse me, because unlike you, I don’t just talk the talk — I have actually walked the walk!” she said.

I actually did something, so instead of sitting on your butt with your friends pontificating, get down to the border, go into a courtroom, a victim center, family court, a shelter. Volunteer. Have the courage to step off your comedy club stage and do something that matters that makes a difference. And yeah, Joy, I’m talking to you!”
