As of Friday, March 27th, only 65 days into President Joe Biden’s administration, America is effectively an open borders nation thanks to his policies.
Not only were border detention facilities up to 1,500 percent overcapacity, but the border was less secure than it’d been in years — if not decades — to the point that Mexican cartel members were literally laughing at America’s failure.
All this became abundantly clear after a contingent of congressional Republicans traveled to the border earlier this week to assess the situation firsthand.
The footage they captured was stunning and horrifying, though it provoked nothing but denial and mockery from the Democrat Party.

In response to the footage shared by Cruz, Democrat Party hero Beto O’Rourke, a former congressman who failed to unseat Cruz in 2018 and then failed to gain any traction in the Democrat presidential primaries in 2020, accused the senator of cosplaying.
“You’re in a Border Patrol boat armed with machine guns. The only threat you face is unarmed children and families who are seeking asylum (as well as the occasional heckler). If you’re looking for a crisis to cosplay Senator for, I’m happy to point you in the right direction,” he tweeted.
O’Rourke is among a large chunk of Democrats who continue to deny that an otherwise glaringly conspicuous crisis is playing out across the border.
The facts do not lie, though Democrats seemingly do:

This week Republicans also surveyed the Biden administration’s detention facilities.

Speaking on Fox Business Network’s “The Evening Edit” on Friday, Cruz described what he’d personally seen.
“Today we visited detention facilities, in particular the [town of] Donna detention facility, which is a giant tent-city that has been constructed in response to this overwhelming crisis that’s unfolding on the border,” he said.
“And the capacity in the Donna facility with COVID restrictions is 250 people. It has right now about 4,000 people in it. So it is over 1,500% of its capacity. And we saw the Biden cages. We saw cage after cage after cage that the Biden administration has filled with kids. They are packed in there. They’re not 6 feet apart or 3 feet apart. They’re side by side. And the rate of COVID positivity in the Donna facility is about 10%.”
He added, “What they’re doing is inhumane, it’s unconscionable, and it was preventable. It’s the direct result of political decisions the Biden administration has made.”

According to Hamed Aleaziz of BuzzFeed News, as of Friday an estimated 18,000 (and counting) illegal alien children were in U.S. custody:
NEW: CBP had nearly 5,500 unaccompanied immigrant children in custody yesterday — the number of children in CBP custody continues to go up.
Nearly 400 kids were transferred to HHS care.
In sum, there are more than 18,000 in US custody now.

Meanwhile, thanks to the Biden administration’s policies, an untold number of more illegal alien children and adults were continuing to stream across the border with the sole intention of being caught, according to Sen. Lindsey Graham.
And according to Sen. Steve Daines, there was nothing — “not a thing” — stopping them.

Like Sen. John Kennedy noted in a tweet of his own, “People were streaming across the border because they know Pres. Biden won’t deport them.”
Indeed.
He added, “It’s been a wild night at the border. Cartel members were laughing at America from across the river.”

Border Patrol is overwhelmed, overworked, & discouraged by new policies. Agents took us through a dangerous path to the Rio Grande where we could hear the Cartel members taunting us across the river. Human trafficking, child abuse, & drug smuggling are rampant. This is a crisis.
