Hannity demands to know ‘who’s running the show’ after spotting Biden’s ‘pathetic’ use of cue cards

Fox News host Sean Hannity blasted President Joe Biden’s heavy reliance on cue cards and other visual aids during his first press conference on Thursday, calling it “embarrassing” and noting that U.S. “enemies are watching.”

“It was like watching a train wreck in slow motion. Despite weeks of preparation, even fake news CNN admits it, cheat sheets with 14-point font and of course a compliant media mob lobbing one softball question after another, it still was not enough for Joe Biden, ” Hannity said.

“The frail, the weak, the cognitively struggling, clearly, commander-in-chief, or is he, did not do well today, to say the least,” Hannity continued.

The host then showed clips of Biden often struggling to provide answers or to keep on track during the presser, an unprecedented 64 days after taking office.

“His long rambling answers, his confusion… he became dazed and confused. He just stopped mid-sentence, stared into space. Stared into the distance,” said Hannity, adding: “This is your president.”

“Our enemies are watching, this is embarrassing,” he continued.

“Have you ever seen an American president rely on a book of cheat sheets before? To ever answer a simple question at a press conference? It is pathetic. It’s embarrassing,” Hannity added.

“And let’s be clear here, the compliant media mob wasn’t exactly throwing Joe any tough curveballs. They were incredibly polite and kind,” the host said. “A competent president should not need to prep for days on end to answer a few simple questions. This is the hardest job in the world. A commanding, 24/7 job.

“Ask yourself, is Joe Biden, in your view—the American people—up to the job, to perform well even in a press conference?” Hannity went on. “After practicing for days, what is he capable of doing? Anything?”

“Because honestly, we now need to ask who is really running the show at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue? Is it Vice President Harris? Is it Chief of Staff Ron Klain? Is it Schumer? Is it Pelosi? Is it Barack Obama? Is it Susan Rice?” the host asked.

“Because it’s certainly not the frail, the weak, and the cognitively struggling guy that we all witnessed today. If Joe Biden is not capable of doing the job, he shouldn’t be in the job. So much is at stake. Our enemies are watching,” he said.

The First TV’s Jesse Kelly made similar points during his program Thursday evening, noting that Biden’s presser was watched by the leaders of America’s adversaries around the world.

“When the president of the United States speaks, everyone watches,” Kelly said, recalling a story he once read about the Cuban missile crisis in 1962 during President John F. Kennedy’s administration, in which the Soviet premier at the time, Nikita Kruschev, studied his adversary by watching press conferences.

“Our friends watch, potential illegal immigrants watch, and our enemies watch,” Kelly went on. “They’re not only watching, history says they take action based on what they see, not only the answers,” but “how the president looks.”

“They know leadership matters. When Joe Biden steps up to the microphone, when he stepped up to the microphone today, the worst people in the world — people with armies behind them — they were watching,” said Kelly.

“They were watching, they were judging, they were trying to figure out, ‘what’s he gonna say? How’s he going to say it? Is this somebody I can maybe push around a little bit?’” Kelly added.
