Russian President Vladimir Putin and his top officials are aiming trash-talk at President Joe Biden in response to the American president alleging that the Russian leader is a “killer” and threatening a “price” for his alleged interference in the 2020 election.
In an ABC News interview aired Wednesday, the president said “I do” when asked if he views Putin as a “killer,” said the Russian president “will pay a price” when asked to respond to allegations that Russia had tried to interfere in the 2020 race and even went so far as to assert that the Russian leader has “no soul.”
Putin’s administration responded late Wednesday by recalling Russian Ambassador to the U.S. Anatoly Antonov, according to Reuters.
“I suspect it will not be the last one if no explanation or apology follows from the American side. This kind of assessment is not allowed from the mouth of a statesman of such a rank,” Konstantin Kosachyov, the deputy chairman of the Russian parliament’s upper house, reportedly said in a statement.
That was just the beginning of the backlash. The next morning, Putin’s own spokesperson, Dmitry Peskov, slammed Biden in remarks to reporters.
“These are really bad remarks by the U.S. president. He has clearly shown that he doesn’t want to improve relations with our country. We will now proceed from that. Of course, this hasn’t happened before in history,” he reportedly said.
Shortly thereafter, the Russian president addressed the matter himself.

“What would I reply to him? I would say I wish you health. I say that without any irony or joke,” the Russian president began with what looked like a subtle smirk.
In a stunning move, he then insinuated that Biden too is a killer.
“I remember in my childhood when we argued in the courthouse, we used to say it takes one to know one. And that’s not a coincidence, not just a children’s saying or joke,” the Russian president said.
“When you are judging other people, or even when we are judging other states, we are always kind of looking into a mirror. We always ourselves. We are always projecting what is of importance to us, what is our essence onto other people,” he added.
The suggestion was that Biden was projecting his own killer instincts onto Putin.
In his remarks to reporters, the Russian president also pushed back on what he framed as bullying by the Biden administration.
“The U.S. leadership in general aims to have certain relations with us, but only in questions which are of interest for the U.S. and on their conditions. We, though think they are like them, but we are different. We have a different genetic, cultural and moral code,” he said.
“But we can pursue our own interests. and we will be working the U.S., but in the areas that are interesting for us and on conditions profitable to us. And they will have to reckon with it despite all the attempts to prevent our development, despite the sanctions and insults. They will have to reckon with it.”
According to Reuters, the relationship between the U.S. government and the Russian government has officially “sank to a new post-Cold War low.”
All this comes as a new round of hysteria about Russia’s alleged influence on America’s elections has taken root among Democrats and their media allies thanks to a report from the National Intelligence Council that was declassified Monday.
“We assess that Russian President Putin authorized, and a range of Russian government organizations conducted, influence operations aimed at denigrating President Biden’s candidacy and the Democratic Party, supporting former President Trump, undermining public confidence in the electoral process, and exacerbating sociopolitical divisions in the U.S.,” the report reads.
However, the report also contains similar findings about Iran and “a range of additional foreign actors,” but the left predictability seized on the part about Russia to start peddling Russian collusion delusion theories again.
Journalist Michael Tracey wasn’t surprised.
Condolences to everyone in corporate media desperately trying to make “Russia interfered again” a thing — sequels rarely live up to the original

See some of the left’s reaction below:
Nice attempted pivot. No Congressman, Russia interfered to help Trump and hurt Hillary. Russia interfered to help Trump and hurt Biden. Say it with me. In 2020, your fellow Republicans aided Russia – as did the Trump campaign in 2016. Read the damn Mueller report! https://t.co/H5ouksCoC0

This intelligence report confirms:
– Russia interfered in the 2020 election by spreading misinformation to hurt Biden and help Trump.
– Russia successfully reached individuals close to Trump.
Our best defense?

Congratulations QAnon & MAGA… you have unwittingly been played by Russian intelligence.

It was this reporting that inspired Biden to criticize Putin and, in the process, help sink America’s relationship with Russia to a new post-Cold War low.
