‘Arrest Cuomo’ swag popular at CPAC, but creator was booted for not wearing a mask

Some attendees at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Orlando, Fla., are or were reportedly roaming around the venue with “Arrest Cuomo” T-shirts apparently inspired by the nursing-home scandal engulfing the Democrat New York governor.

This is the same elected official who inexplicably received glowing coverage from the sycophantic corporate media for his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The swag is available from the Fleccas Talks website, operated by Florida-based Austen Fletcher, who runs the popular and street-smart YouTube channel of the same name featuring a series of entertaining videos where, among other content, he engages often-uninformed liberals in dialogue (or tries to) in a friendly manner.

“I’m from Long Island. I used to work in finance back in 2012. I love New York. I grew up going to the city on the weekend,” the “right-wing social media influencer” told the New York Post about the wardrobe item that appears to use a Post-style font.

He decided to create the garment “seeing what Cuomo has done [with coronavirus] and seeing the media muppets protecting him.

“People love it. We wore it yesterday to CPAC.  Everyone was commenting on them,” Fletcher added.

The grandstanding Cuomo is under fire for his disastrous decision to send thousands of COVID-positive patients into nursing homes and allegedly trying to cover up the actual death toll. A possible bipartisan impeachment may be on the horizon.

U.S. Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.) has already called for the prosecution of Cuomo and other officials of his administration as a result of the coverup, describing it as a “stunning and criminal abuse of power.”

“Arrest Cuomo is not just a funny meme or hyperbole. It literally should happen. We need to arrest Andrew Cuomo,” Fletcher added in his comments to the Post.

It obviously remains to be seen if Cuomo will be held accountable for his flawed decision-making during the COVID outbreak either on a criminal or civil basis as the evidence may or may not necessitate, especially since legal accountability often applies differently based on political affiliation.

Stefanik, among others on both sides of the aisle, has also insisted that the governor should resign over sexual harassment allegations made by two former aides. Joe Biden’s spokesperson this morning endorsed the idea of a prompt, independent review of the harassment allegations for the would-be attorney general in the latter’s administration.

Fletcher’s opportunity to enjoy the festivities and perhaps an additional marketing opportunity for the red “Arrest Cuomo” T-shirt were somewhat curtailed when he was “politely removed” from CPAC on Friday for not wearing a facial covering.

“I was politely removed from #CPAC for not wearing a mask. They forced one on me for 30 seconds but then I ran into some fans and couldn’t look them in the eye while wearing it. That’s it. That’s just me. I’m out,” he tweeted, along with footage of his exit.

Fletcher made headlines in July 2020 in a chat with U.S. Rep Jerry Nadler when the lawmaker described Antifa as “a myth being spread in Washington, D.C.”
