In a scathing editorial, Fox News Channel host Tucker Carlson slammed the corporate media, which he characterized as the most corrupt institution in America, for its fawning coverage of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. Based on the programing in the administration’s early days, the contortions that media members are going through to glorify the duo make them “gold medalists in duplicity,” he declared.
“Think of reporters as the North Korean gymnastics team celebrating Kim Il-sung Day in a soccer stadium in Pyongyang. They move as one,” Carlson separately added in the monologue embedded below in two parts.
It was entirely predictable that the mainstream news media would give any Democrat who became president a free ride, but the journalism industry appears to have sunk to a new low with the Biden administration. On Tucker Carlson Tonight, the host even deemed the sycophantic press more egregious than, among other things, drunken border guards in third-world countries and U.S. gangsters.
“The New York Times is much more corrupt than that,” Carlson continued in the commentary. “The media are more crooked than Jimmy Hoffa ever was. They’re more dishonest than your average bribe-taking building inspector in Queens. They’re more treacherous than the Mafia. They make cops in Tijuana look trustworthy. You’ll get fairer treatment from an inner-city DMV than you would from CNN. Ask Nick Sandmann. We could go on.”
“Yes, the news media are profoundly dishonest,” Carlson acknowledged. “All of us lie from time to time; that’s the human condition. But imagine if lying was your job. Imagine forcing yourself to tell lies all day about everything in ways that were so transparent and so outlandish that there is no way the people listening to you could possibly believe anything you said. Then imagine doing that again and again and again every day of your professional life for your entire life.
“Could you do that? If you could, CNN has an opening on the media analysis desk….but if you’re a non-sociopathic, normal person, the answer obviously is no. So you’ve got to kind of respect the people who can. They’re like Olympians in reverse. They achieve feats so dishonorable that you gasp in horror as you watch them, but at the same time, you’ve got to respect those skills.”
Carlson then played some clips from other news stations discussing the “flawless” Kamala Harris, plus an emotional Don Lemon of CNN practically in tears of joy over the Biden ascendency.
Harris “is everything women want to be,” Carlson satirically agreed. “False, hollow, cunning, consumed with political power, really a model for your daughters. Make that woman vice-president. And so they did.”
Carlson then played some more clips of media claims that the Biden administration has a commitment to “the truth” and extolling the Bidens’ marriage.
“Above all, Joe Biden is a family man who took the train back to Wilmington every night to the 10,000-square-foot estate a campaign donor bought for him in exchange for unregistered lobbying on behalf of credit card companies. Biden’s not like the last guy…
“Not since Anthony dined with Cleopatra…has a country witnessed a love story as moving and poignant as Jill and Joe’s…Jill Biden is not Joe’s caretaker. She isn’t his nurse. She is his fully equal romantic partner. Together, they are like besotted teens, yet at the same time they are the wise and knowing parents of the nation,” Carlson quipped. “Their love is as real as climate change…”
“The Biden’s love will be healing for this country. It will make us whole again and it might even stop looming hyperinflation and keep the Chinese Navy to closing the south China Sea to international shipping. That’s the kind of life it is.”
The segment ended with a coffee-and-donuts interaction between Biden and reporters outside the White House that seemed more wiffleball than softball.
