LeBron James throws a little shade Tom Brady’s way as ‘drunk’ QB tosses Lombardi Trophy, cracks up Twitter

Tampa Bay Buccaneers star quarterback Tom Brady added to his legendary status on Wednesday as the city celebrated the team’s dominating Super Bowl victory over the Kansas City Chiefs with a boat parade.

Brady cavalierly tossed the Lombardi Trophy awarded to the winning team from one boat to another, and he may have imbibed a little excessively in the day’s celebration — buy hey, wobbly or not, he’s Tom Brady.

Not that NBA player LeBron James agrees, apparently, because he took to Twitter to throw a little shade at Brady, who had responded to a video clip of himself appearing to be pretty intoxicated to say, misspellings and all: “Noting to see her…just litTle avoCado tequila.”

James tweeted: “Man o man I wish we were able to have our parade too cause I would have been walking beautifully just like you!”

It’s not clear if James is jealous that Los Angeles didn’t celebrate the Lakers winning an abbreviated season championship in October 2020 in the NBA bubble in Orlando, Fla. — the city put off a victory parade because of the coronavirus pandemic.

If so, the left-wing social justice warrior can take that up with Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom. In Florida, Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis eschews the lockdowns that critics argue simply don’t work, as seen in California these past weeks.

James doesn’t quite share the same stage as Brady, who’s widely seen as the greatest QB to ever play the game. James remains mired in the argument that Michael Jordan was the better player, and while both Brady and James have been in 10 championship games, Brady prevailed in seven of the ten contests, while James won just four.

(Michael Jordan has six NBA championships.)

On the receiving end of the Lombardi Trophy tossed across the water by Brady was Bucs tight end Cameron Brate.

“That was the best catch of my life,” Brate joked later, according to the liberal sports network ESPN. “Unbelievable. That was the best catch of my life — if I had dropped that? I think I would’ve had to retire.”

Turns out, an inebriated Tom Brady is more likable than sober Tom Brady for many social media users.
