‘Tommy’s Garage’ provides conservatives with late-night comedy fix

Late-night television hasn’t been much fun for conservative viewers in the age of President Donald Trump, as one host after another pilloried, lampooned, and mocked him throughout his term.

Often, the ‘comedy’ offered on these shows appeared to turn personal, as hosts like Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert took shots at Trump and his family that many observers considered unfair and out-of-bounds.

And while conservatives aren’t likely to be spared by those and other network hosts anytime soon, there is an emerging alternative for right-leaning viewers seeking comedic entertainment that they’ll find much more appealing: “Tommy’s Garage,” episodes of which will be airing Fridays at 9:30 p.m. EDT on BizPac Review’s Facebook page.

It’s “Conservative Comedy Done ‘Right,'” you might say.

Each week, the show features regular segments including “The Big News,” which lampoons the most recent headlines, “The Bigot Lottery,” Senorita Fuego, “We’ve Got the Video,” and “Worldwide Panic.”

“Finally! A show that speaks to the hearts and minds of Conservatives and Libertarians. The New Dumont Television Network (commonly known as ‘The NuDu‘) proudly presents ‘the loudest most politically incorrect television show on the planet,’” the network notes:

“This one hour show is locally recorded and produced fifty weeks every year out of the home and garage of Houston host, Tom Adkins. Each week Tom and his panel of guests, a group of professional area comics, look at politics, national, international, and downright too crazy to believe news they generate.”

“Tired of those liberal ‘comedy’ shows? Let’s face it…liberals just aren’t funny.  Ever. Well, finally! There’s a comedy show for conservatives!” says the show’s website.

“Every week, the crew at Tommy’s Garage finds the long list of knuckleheads and fools. And skewers them. With flaming hot comedy. From a conservative-libertarian perspective, of course. So? Buckle up and hit the gas! Tommy’s Garage is waiting for you!”

“Political comedy like the networks won’t do. Tommy Adkins and guests review and lampoon the events of the week across the nation and around the world,” the show’s Facebook page touts.

Here are some clips of the program:

Like other conservative offerings, Tommy’s Garage appears to be experiencing similar censorship on major social media platforms. A notice posted to the show’s Facebook page directs fans to its website to view episodes, but readers can also see them live Fridays at 9:30 p.m. EDT on BizPac Review’s Facebook page.

“We are concerned Facebook is censoring us, and we want to maintain contact,” the post says.

While most comedy shows and entertainers appear to lean to the left, Tommy’s Garage joins a handful of other notable names that tend to be more conservative and libertarian. They include Jeff Foxworthy, Dennis Miller, Evan Sayet, Terrence Williams, The Deplorables, Tim Allen, Adam Carolla, and Jeff Dunham.

In recent episodes, stars Adkins, Rosie, Gavin, Señorita Fuego, Jaime, Sam, Kendrick, and others discuss current issues, lampoon the left, and poke fun at those who poke fun at conservatives.
