The wise understand that even in the most tumultuous of times, people must maintain their sense of humor, lest they lose their sense of humanity as well.
Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk grasps this concept — but leftists predictably don’t.
Responding to the storming of the U.S. Capitol, Musk posted a funny meme Thursday afternoon containing a photo of the infamous “barbarian” seen hovering over House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s podium. The caption of the meme read, “This Is What Happens When You Cancel Burning Man.”
Get it? Burning Man is a a hippy festival in which barely dressed hipsters gather in the middle of the desert annually (except for last year because of the coronavirus pandemic) and basically behave like barbarians (kind of).
Now check out Musk’s meme:

It’s funny, no? I mean, how often does a “barbarian” break into the U.S. Capitol and pose by the House Speaker’s podium?
Leftists disagreed, of course, and responded with their usual ululations of anger, grief, hysteria, bile and false claims.

@elonmusk is an asshole https://t.co/kgwQ6v1311

So you’re a nazi too?

Not funny. Try again & this time show at least a smidgen of concern for the horrific scenes unfolding yesterday at the Capitol. Or just go silent if you can’t be helpful. Very disappointing you can use your fame constructively.

It’s not funny Elon.
— Block2Chainz (@The_Mi_ke) January 7, 2021
Not funny at all. I admire you and everything you do but sometimes you jumped the shark. This isn’t the time for humor.

Just imagine if a Muslim was standing there instead or simply a black man for that matter.

I dont think this situation is funny. Its sad how they treat white protesters vs black/people of color protesters. They literally get away with hurting people because of their race religion and political beliefs. This is the opposite of what America represents. 😞

This is so far off. Burning Man is a festival about inclusion. If anything it’s evolved into a destination for social media influencers, celebrities and the Silicon Valley elite. The picture you posted is of a white supremacist intent on the end of democracy. @elonmusk pic.twitter.com/xsovj0bAEb

Notice the abundance of claims that the pro-Trump rioters would have been treated differently had they been black or Muslim versus predominantly white.
This is a blatantly false narrative that can easily be debunked by simply looking at the Black Lives Matter riots of the summer.
BLM extremists burned down numerous homes/businesses, terrorized innocent people and even killed a few, yet their movement was wholly embraced by virtually every Democrat, every corporation and every institution.
Meanwhile, every law enforcement agency literally bowed to them:

And during the few instances that law enforcement officers did fight back against the left-wing extremists, they — not the extremists — were condemned.
In fact, congressional Democrats went so far as to block a GOP-crafted measure in the House to condemn the violent riots. Instead Democrats crafted their own measure — one calling for the defunding of police officers nationwide.

As for Musk, he doesn’t appear to be stressing over the blowback. If anything, he’s now doing better than ever before in his life.
“Elon Musk just became the richest person in the world, with a net worth of more than $185 billion. Thursday’s increase in Tesla’s share price pushed Musk past Jeff Bezos, who had been the richest person since 2017 and is currently worth about $184 billion,” CNBC reported earlier Thursday morning.
“Musk’s wealth surge over the past year marks the fastest rise to the top of the rich list in history — and is a dramatic financial turnaround for the outspoken entrepreneur who just 18 months ago was in the headlines for Tesla’s rapid cash burn and his personal leverage against the company’s stock.”
Of course, leftists are mad about this as well.
Look:
genuinely don’t know which is worse, the fact Elon Musk has amassed such a disgustingly unnecessary amount of wealth or the way that literal victims of capitalism are applauding him for his ‘achievement’ of being the richest person on the planet
— zach (@xyzachh) January 8, 2021
Elon Musk becoming the richest person in all of human history and having never held a job in his life shows us all that capitalism is set up to make rich people richer while the rest of us toil away, selling our labor to make ends meet while we line their pockets.

Elon Musk, who was enriched by Emerald mining under Apartheid South Africa, is now the richest man in the world.
In other news, South Africa has one of the highest rates of poverty and wealth inequality in the world.
Still think capitalism works?
