In an extraordinary statement, former Attorney General Bill Barr has completely thrown President Donald Trump under the bus, accusing him of “orchestrating” the storming of the U.S. Capitol and calling his alleged actions “inexcusable.”
“Orchestrating a mob to pressure Congress is inexcusable. The president’s conduct yesterday was a betrayal of his office and supporters,” he reportedly said in a statement to the Associated Press on Thursday.
The statement was stunning because Barr had been considered an extremely loyal Trump administration official who’d stuck his neck out to push forward with the president’s agenda — justifiably and legally so, to be clear.
He justifiably refused to move forward with dubious “obstruction of justice” charges against the president following the publication of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report.
He justifiably designated U.S. Attorney John Durham special counsel so he may continue investigating the sketchy predicates of the Russia probe even once President-elect Joe Biden takes office.
And when he resigned last month, he did so with glowing praise for the president, whom he congratulated for his “many successes and unprecedented achievements.”
Yet here he is now:

Why the sudden change of heart?
One theory is that he genuinely believes the president screwed up by encouraging and speaking at the “Stop the Steal” rally in D.C.
While there was nothing inherently wrong with the rally, it eventually dissolved into a riot as the president’s supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol and commandeered the House and Senate chambers. Barr is clearly among the myriads of Trump critics who believe the president bears responsibility for this.
Another theory, according to the president’s most ardent supporters, is that Barr was never loyal in the first place — that it’d all been an act. Either that or he’s just an “idiot” and “asshole.”
Look (*Language warning):
He was in on it all along. As many suspected.
They are all dirty. Every single one of them.

I’m so glad we know who is for us and who is against us. Barr is the swamp.
— Tiffany Marie (@TChasteen5) January 7, 2021
Barr is a disgrace and now we know a member of the Deep State
— O’Brien Family (@kjajobrien) January 7, 2021
Well that tells you all you need to know about Barr doesn’t it? Now you know why he never accomplished anything.
— Robert G Rock Jr (@rgrock501) January 7, 2021
This explains much about Barr if he thinks these people were orchestrated by anyone. From the videos, most of them seemed as surprised as the police that they were able to get in. They had absolutely no plan once they made it in. Barr’s ignorance is showing, and we all see it.

AG is a fat ass idiot not sure how he got the job! Sad piece of lazy shit!
— Dr Allen Davis (@DrAllenDavis1) January 7, 2021
Barr is an idiot. He just doesn’t want to give back his CCP bribe money
— mack rusty (@MackRusty) January 7, 2021
Barr is an idiot. I’ve lost all respect for him
— Cory C ✝️ (@CoryChiarelli) January 7, 2021
Barr .. what an asshole

You get the picture.
Barr isn’t the only one who’s “capitulated,” as the president’s supporters have put it.
So has former House Speaker Newt Gingrich:

So has Sen. Lindsey Graham, who was once once one of the president’s most enthusiastic congressional supporters but has since said he’s “out.”

And so has Vice President Mike Pence, according to the president’s supporters. They say that by affirming President-elect Joe Biden’s victory, he’s stabbed the president in the back and proven himself to be a “traitor” who supposedly “sold out.”
Look:
I think Trump knew you were a traitor. I think he is prepared for this. The left has information on you and you don’t want it exposed. You sold out a good man. You sold your soul to the devils of this world.
— D (@d_skystone64) January 7, 2021
You sold out to the deep state by not standing up for 🇺🇸
— President Elect-Truth Patriot (@DrLobacz) January 7, 2021
You did not stand for truth! You have let evil win! More of our freedom will be lost because many of the republicans have sold out to evil! I have read the back of the book and we win!
— Theada Walls (@gransie2015) January 7, 2021
You let us down Pence. Unless you still got something up your sleeve, you let us down big time. The ball was in your court. We know how it works. You did have the power to send them back, you sold out. The system is broken. Voting does nothing, its obvious we can’t vote any more.
— Paul (@Paulwil90926656) January 7, 2021
@Mike_Pence has sold out the American people for the equivalent of 30 pieces of silver. He is a Judas who stabbed President Trump in the back@JoeBiden has sold his soul to the devil https://t.co/F6rhscu3ra
— CassandraSaysSo (@LostAcounts) January 7, 2021
The only one who hasn’t sold out and remains utterly infallible to the president’s most ardent supporters is of course the president himself.
