It’s remarkable how much attention Ivanka Trump draws over the use of a single word — in this case “Iowa.”
With the Hawkeye State caucuses officially launching the presidential election cycle every four years, the mention of “Iowa” can carry a lot of weight, politically speaking.
In the case of the first daughter, she was simply responding to a tweet by Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds recognizing their statehood anniversary.
“On this day in 1846, President James K. Polk signed a bill making Iowa the 29th state in the Union. Happy Statehood Day to the great State of Iowa, and to all who proudly call her home,” the Republican governor tweeted.

Trump campaigned in Iowa on Reynolds’ behalf during her 2018 gubernatorial run, and she did a two-day swing in the state prior to the 2020 election, stumping for her father and Sen. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa.
President Trump defeated Democratic nominee Joe Biden by 8 points in Iowa, and Ernst won by more than 6.5 points.
Ivanka Trump proved to be a fundraising star this year, putting the vaulted money machine Barack Obama to shame.
Working hard to raise money for her father’s reelection, Ivanka hosted 32 events, to include nine fundraisers ahead of the election, regularly drawing more people than Biden did as a candidate.
In September, she broke Obama’s one day fundraising record — the former president’s best single-day haul was set in 2014 at $3.8 million and Ivanka beat that at an event in Austin, Texas, where she raised $4.5 million.
Great night in Austin shattering political fundraising records in the city – the excitement for @realDonaldTrump is “yuge”!

The response to Ivanka’s “Iowa” tweet shows the power of the Trump name, and the senior advisor to the president is seen by many as someone who could have a bright future in politics.
Upon reports that she and husband Jared Kushner purchased a nearly 2-acre lot on Indian Creek Island, an ultra-exclusive area near Miami, there have been rumors she may challenge Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., who is up for reelection in 2022.
Rubio has been rather lukewarm in his support of President Trump and many of his policy pursuits.

As for the president, he officially switched his private residence from Manhattan to Palm Beach back in September, and once out of office may very well call his private resort Mar-a-Lago home.
And while the Trump name has power, with the corrupt media establishment having spent four years sufficiently whipping up hatred for all things Trump, the name also comes with a certain handicap.
Evidence of this was seen in the responses to Ivanka’s tweet, as the left harbors scary levels of loathing for the Trump family.
Here’s a sampling of responses from Twitter – Caution: Strong Language:

If Ivanka runs for president in 2024 she’ll split the vote with her father and hand the nomination to Don Jr. https://t.co/xeRiTcVL1D
