Fox News host Lisa “Kennedy” Montgomery drew the ire of CNN media analyst Brian Stelter when she referred to him as “tater,” and called him “ham-headed.”
In a segment of Fox News’ “Outnumbered,” Kennedy was commenting on Stelter comparing Americans who have allegedly been radicalized by the “right-wing media machine” to ISIS recruits and mass shooters after anchor Harris Faulkner questioned whether it was “wise free speech if it has a tone of hypocrisy to it.”
“Hypocrisy and free speech are two different things,” Kennedy replied. “We have to protect even abhorrent, simplistic, overly busy, unreadable free speech, as unpopular as it might be.”
“Back to Brian Stelter, I’m going to steal a line from Stephen Miller: Taters gonna tater,” she continued. “He might be the most unsophisticated analyst in the history of media analysis. He’s not just ham-fisted, he is ham-headed.”

On a side note, Miller responded to clarify that while Stelter may “look like a potato,” he has never referred to him as “Tater.”
“[H]e’s counting on that discourse to write off the very legitimate criticisms anyone has about how truly awful he is as professional media person,” he observed.

Never one to pass up on drawing attention to himself, Stelter replied to a Daily Beast article panning Kennedy’s remarks about him, giving the headline an “A+.”

He also replied to Miller’s tweet, with a hearty “Merry Christmas to you too.”
Curtis Houck, the managing editor at NewsBusters chimed in to highlight the tactic being employed by Stelter: “Proving Stephen’s point right here ^ Hurl venom at your political enemies, then morph into Mr. Nice Guy as if you’re above the fray.”

As to be expected from the corrupt media establishment, Washington Post reporter Jeremy Barr rallied to Stelter’s side, asking why Fox News would tolerate Kennedy’s “schoolyard bullying,” dragging Sean Hannity and Tucker Carlson into the fray.

Miller responded to Barr’s spirited effort by reminding him that “Stelter compared Kennedy to ISIS.”
He also explained the reporter’s motivation, as Houck weighed in to highlight Barr’s hypocrisy.
