CNN host Erin Burnett claimed on Wednesday that sources have told the network that President Donald Trump is throwing “temper tantrums” in the White House and vowing that he will refuse to leave next month if Democratic rival Joe Biden is sworn in.
Anonymous sources, of course.
“Sources tell CNN that the president has pulled a 180, no longer privately, quote-unquote, getting the joke — not that it was ever funny,” Burnett said.
“But he used to privately accept the reality that he lost the election, but now, no. He’s now starting to believe his own lies that the election was stolen. And this comes while some thought that this talk of a rigged election was just talk, right?” Burnett continued.
“It was all about making money. Go get a radio show, make a lot of money, because you don’t…never had as much as ya said ya had…stay relevant, be a kingmaker, that’s what it was all about.
“But after 39 days and roughly 1,100 tweets, mostly false claims about the election, and this,” the host continued as she played clips of the president talking about how he believes the election was “rigged.”
“He now believes that, so much so, that Trump has told some advisers that he may not leave the White House on Inauguration Day,” Burnett said, without offering any real evidence to substantiate the claim.
“One adviser telling CNN, quote, ‘He’s throwing a f**king temper tantrum. He’s going to leave. He’s just lashing out,’” Burnett went on.
“Okay. That description is the behavior of a person not right in the mind. Let’s just say it is like it is. Temper tantrums, lashing out, talking about not leaving the White House. Trump is not four, right? He’s 74. And despite his increasingly deranged delusions, he still has the power to instill fear and sycophancy in others.”
Burnett then referenced Senate Homeland Security Committee Chairman Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), “who actually held a hearing today about something that did not impact the election — fraud.”
However, based on witness testimony during the hearing, Burnett’s claim that no fraud occurred in this year’s elections is false.
Lawyers for the Trump campaign provided the Senate panel with documented, sourced details and specific numbers of votes that were cast in violation of existing laws in a number of swing states — clips that conservative talker Mark Levin played on his Wednesday evening show.
Levin led off with the president’s lawyer in Wisconsin, former Dane County Judge Jim Troupis, who told senators his team managed to positively identify tens of thousands of votes that were cast in direct violation of state law.
Troupis said investigators found more than 3,000 “incomplete and altered certificates” located on the front of mail-in and absentee ballots, as well as more than 2,000 ballots in Dane and Milwaukee counties that were not initialed by county clerks, as required.
He also testified that Wisconsin law requires in-person voting on election day in the vast majority of cases. However, in Milwaukee, Troupis said residents were allowed to drop off ballots in unmonitored collection boxes and at a local park, as much as five weeks before the election.
“Our statutes explicitly say there are only two ways to submit an absentee ballot: In-person, or delivery to the clerk’s office,” he said. “That’s it. Nothing else is allowed. And yet, the city of Madison, we had…17,271 ballots in this category” investigators identified, though “tens of thousands” more “co-mingled” with legally-cast ballots “so we couldn’t identify each one that may have been improperly cast.”
Troupis then testified about thousands of Wisconsin residents who improperly claimed they were “indefinitely confined” so they could receive a mail-in ballot without having to provide any identification.
“Among those claiming this status is one of the electors for Joe Biden,” he said. “We had poll workers who claimed it. We have people who went to protests, people who had weddings, people who had been on vacations. All claimed this status, ‘I can’t get to the polls.”
Troupis said his team identified 28,395 people in that category alone, adding that as many as 170,000 additional ballots were cast in various ways that also violate existing state statutes.
“Three million people properly voted in the state of Wisconsin,” Troupis said. “More than 200,000 identified during this recount did not. But those votes got counted, and our statute says they should not have been.”
Levin also played a clip of Trump’s lead Nevada attorney, Jesse Binall, who described how the state legislature changed voting laws in late August that weakened election integrity measures.

He said his investigators found names of more than 42,000 people who voted more than one time, as well as at least 1,500 people who have died. He also said they discovered more than 19,000 people who voted in Nevada though they aren’t residents of the state, a figure that “does not include military voters or students.”
“About 8,000 people voted from non-existent addresses,” he said, noting investigators used official U.S. Postal Service address records, among other databases. “Over 15,000 votes were cast from commercial or vacant addresses.
“Incredibly, more than 4,000 non-citizens also voted” in Nevada, Binall added.
