Eddie Zipperer, a self-identified “opinion writer” (also known as a columnist) is apparently also a comedian. One who clearly knows how to read the room.

On Friday he published a video — more like a sketch — depicting him sharing “a message from every Democrat who holds public office.”

Designed to highlight the glaring hypocrisy of Democrat officials throughout the country, the video showed him unmasked at a crowded beach, with his family and friends and whomever else making noise in the background.

Watch:

“Hi everybody. I’m here today to tell you that this coronavirus stuff is serious business, and I’m tired of you guys not doing your part to #StopTheSpread,” the video began with him saying.

He was pretending to be a Democrat official, be it a mayor like Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti or a governor like California Gov. Gavin Newsom.

“It’s time to lock yourself in your house. Don’t go to eat, don’t go to the store, don’t go to church. If you have other family members, you need to quarantine yourselves in separate rooms of the house,” he continued.

“It’s not that hard to send text messages to your family members. We need you to start taking some responsibility. If you’d just follow my orders. …”

He then looked away to speak to somebody.

“Yeah, I’ll be right there,” he said to the person ostensibly off camera.

“Piña colada. Piña colada!” he added before continuing with his spiel.

“Sorry. If you would just follow my orders, we could get to the other side of this thing. I don’t want to overstate this, but remember, if you go somewhere, you are a murderer. Thank you,” he concluded.

While the sketch was designed to mock all Democrat officials, it was mirrored off of what happened in California, where a group of lawmakers traveled to Maui last month despite the Democrat-run state’s “firm warning” against so-called “non-essential” traveling.

To top it off, the lawmakers jetted off to Maui during the same week that Newsom instituted yet another lockdown order forcing 58 of the state’s counties back into the state’s most restrictive coronavirus lockdown tier.

Speaking of Newsom, only days before he instituted the lockdown, he attended a crowded birthday party in a “closed-off room” while unmasked and not even social distancing:

And he did so despite having spent months lecturing his constituents about their need to limit gatherings, always wear masks, always social distance, etc.

Here’s the thing: Neither Newsom nor the vacationing lawmakers are alone in their hypocrisy. Democrats — not Republicans — throughout the nation have repeatedly, habitually been caught violating THEIR own rules while lecturing their constituents.

The list includes but probably isn’t limited to:

  • House Speaker Nancy Pelosi
  • Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer
  • Sen. Dianne Feinstein
  • California Gov. Gavin Newsom
  • Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker
  • New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo
  • Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot
  • New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio
  • Austin Mayor Steve Adler
  • San Francisco Mayor London Breed
  • San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo
  • Denver Mayor Michael Hancock
  • Washington Mayor Muriel Bowser
  • Los Angeles County Supervisor Shiela Kuehl
  • Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams
  • Deputy Brooklyn Borough President Ingrid Lewis-Martin

That’s 16 hypocrites, all of them Democrats. What does that tell you? What it certainly told CNN host Brianna Keilar, a woman who’s usually about as pro-Democrat as one can be, is that Democrats have a lot of explaining to do.

“The past few weeks brought into relief a pattern of leaders failing to lead by example, asking Americans to make sacrifices that they, themselves, are unwilling to make, and appearing sorry only when they’re caught,” she said Wednesday.

“Trust is built slowly but it evaporates faster than reservations at a fancy restaurant. A lot of these leaders, they are looking across the aisle to blame Republicans who aren’t taking mask wearing seriously.”

True.

She then added, “But maybe, it’s time they also look in the mirror and ask themselves if that was really worth it.”

By “that,” she presumably meant said “leaders” — all of them Democrats — violating the coronavirus lockdown rules that they’ve shoved down everybody else’s throats.

Notice though how she didn’t use the word Democrats. The same thing reportedly happened on ABC News’ “Good Morning America,” which ran a report Friday about “politicians behaving badly” but neglected to mention that every politician “behaving badly” was a Democrat.

Going back to Zipperer, obviously his goal was to satirically depict the glaring, dishonest, slimy hypocrisy of all these Democrats.

And according to his fans — many of them new followers — he hit it out the park.

Look:

By the way, the “opinion writer” and columnist is also an assistant professor of political science at Georgia Military College, so if you’re ever in the area, check out his lectures.
