Joe Biden has previously vowed to “shut down” COVID-19 should he assume the office of the President of the United States.
The Democratic nominee’s secret formula to eradicate the Chinese plague appears to center around wearing a mask… oh, and listening to the science.
Biden said in a fluff interview Thursday with CNN anchor/Democratic operative Jake Tapper that he would “ask” the American public to wear a mask for 100 days.
“On the first day I’m inaugurated, I’m going to ask the public for 100 days to mask,” he said. “Just 100 days to mask, not forever, just 100 days — I think we’ll see a significant reduction.”

Of course, an ask is a far cry from a nationwide mask mandate, which Biden floated during the campaign.
“This is not about Democrat, Republican or Independent,” he said back in August. “This is about saving American lives, so let’s institute a mask mandate nationwide, starting immediately.”
On the same day Biden said he would shut down the virus, Nov. 19, he backpedaled from a mandate to suggest “it’s a patriotic duty” to wear a mask.
Wearing a mask isn't a political statement — it's a patriotic duty.

This being when the 78-year-old politician made the lofty promise to get rid of the coronavirus — you can be sure there will be little media follow-up on the vow, other than doing their level best to convince the American people it was a promise kept.
“I am not going to shut down the economy, period. I’m going to shut down the virus,” Biden said in a Nov. 19 press conference. “That’s what I’m going to shut down.”

It helps that a vaccine is due out in a matter of days — a vaccine that was produced as a result of President Trump’s “Operation Warp Speed.”
On that note, three weeks after President Trump announced an agreement had been made with Pfizer to provide their COVID-19 vaccine “free-of-charge” to the American people, Biden made the same claim.
Once a vaccine is ready and approved, @KamalaHarris and I are going to ensure it’s distributed equitably, efficiently, and free of charge to every American.

Tapper asked Biden if Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation’s top infectious-disease expert, would stay on in his administration.
Biden replied that he asked the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director to be a “chief medical adviser” and a part of his pandemic advisory team.
He also said he’d be “happy” to go to the front of the line — as did former presidents Barack Obama, George W. Bush, and Bill Clinton.
“People have lost faith in the ability of the vaccine to work,” Biden said.
Ya’ think? Wasn’t this the prescribed Democratic talking points ahead of the election, regurgitated willingly by their media allies?
Even Biden’s running mate, Sen. Kamala Harris said she wouldn’t take a vaccine if Trump recommended it.
“If the public health professionals, if Dr. Fauci, if the doctors tell us that we should take it, I’ll be the first in line to take it, absolutely. But if Donald Trump tells us that we should take it, I’m not taking it,” Harris said during the vice presidential debate.
