Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., got into an online brouhaha with Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., who slayed the Bronx Bolshevik, dug up her corpse and slayed her again — figuratively speaking, of course.
The dust-up was over Paycheck Protection Program loans, which are part of the small business relief measure established under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act). The forgivable loans are intended to help small businesses cover up to 24 weeks of payroll, interest on mortgages, rent and utilities.
From AOC’s perspective, conservative businesses should not be eligible for the loans. Particularly so if that small business is Project Veritas, a conservative watchdog group founded by James O’Keefe that drives the left batty.
“Black-owned small businesses were widely shut out from accessing PPP loans, yet right-wing disinfo org PV took half a million in public money while decrying direct federal assistance as ‘radical socialism,” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted. “Republicanism in a nutshell. (Also they’re based in Mamaroneck?! 👀).”

Perpetually aggrieved progressives always manage to find a racial angle to any issue, but the democratic socialist apparently took exception to Project Veritas being based in a small town in the Hudson Valley as well.
Ocasio-Cortez was responding to a tweet from the “nonpartisan” watchdog group Accountable.US Action, that highlighted how much money O’Keefe’s organization received.
Rubio failed to see the productive angle in AOC’s partisan attack and informed the freshman lawmaker that both Republicans and Democrats worked together to help “save the jobs of 55 million Americans through PPP.”
“Work more, tweet less & one day you too can make a difference,” the senator added.

Boom! Naturally, AOC had to respond, informing Rubio of just how important she really is, and how hard she works.
“Yesterday I recruited 5,000 volunteers to train and tutor kids in my community who are struggling with remote learning,” she tweeted, “and that was after investigating the Treasury Secretary’s rationale for stopping CARES Act funding and voting on House legislation.”
“What did you do?” Ocasio-Cortes then asked.
All of this took place on Thursday, but Rubio did not reply to the tweet until Friday.
“Apologies for late response Was busy this week helping a Floridian get travel documents to see his dying sister, a high schooler whose mother died get SSI benefits, a specialist for a child with a crazy Obamacare deductible & negotiating Intelligence bill & another round of PPP.”
Apologies for late response

Double boom!
As for Project Veritas accepting the loan, O’Keefe responded to AOC’s tweet with a statement on why he made the decision, explaining the company has more than 50 employees who pay their taxes and are just as entitled to the money as anyone else during the economic uncertainty brought on by the pandemic.
We did not CHOOSE to have our employees, working families, livelihoods jeopardized by @NYGovCuomo shutdown.
We operate without fear or favor. We Will NEVER bow to political pressure from you, NYState or the feds. We do not prostitute ourselves to a commercial imperative.#Gulag pic.twitter.com/rLHoFUdOrk
