Billboards from Dem PAC in Georgia urge Republicans to sit out Senate runoff elections

Democrat-aligned political action committees are putting up billboards in Georgia that attempt to suppress Republican voter turnout ahead of two key U.S. Senate run-off races that will decide control of the chamber.

One of the groups, Really American PAC, has placed two versions around Georgia, The Epoch Times reported, both of which are designed to keep GOP voters at home Jan. 5, when incumbent GOP Sens. David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler face off against Democratic challengers Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock, respectively.

One billboard says the two Republicans “got RICH” while “Georgians got SICK.” Another alleged that the senators “didn’t deliver for” President Donald Trump, while urging voters, “DON’T deliver for them.”

Really American PAC said in a statement Monday that so far, nine billboards have gone up with the voter suppression message.

“We’re blanketing Georgia with our billboards to remind Georgians, among other things, that their Senators got rich while Georgians suffered,” the statement said, according to The Epoch Times.

A second group, Mad Dog PAC, said that it was planning to put up billboards around Atlanta using similar phrases and wording as the Really American PAC.

But Stephen Lawson, Loeffler’s campaign spokesman, predicted that ultimately Georgia GOP voters weren’t going to be swayed.

“Georgia Republicans aren’t fooled by Democrats’ disgustingly dirty tricks. Every Republican in this state knows the stakes of this race because it will decide the future of our country, and that’s why everyone is getting to the polls to vote for Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue,” he told the outlet.

“It’s disappointing to see an extreme left-wing super PAC come into Georgia with the sole intention of deceiving voters, but no amount of billboards will divide Georgia Republicans who know that Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue continue to stand with President Donald Trump.” Abigail Sigler, a Georgia GOP spokeswoman, told The Epoch Times.

The billboards are being put up as top Republicans including President Donald Trump are urging Georgia GOP voters to ignore calls to sit out the Senate races.

Last month Georgia-based attorney Lin Wood, who has filed suit in the state challenging election results that went to Joe Biden and alleging mass vote fraud, took to Twitter to encourage voters to “withhold your votes & money” from Perdue and Loeffler because he didn’t believe they were being vocal enough in opposing the results.

“Politicians love votes & money (not necessarily in that order). Want to get @SenLoeffler & @sendavidperdue out of their basements to demand that action must be taken to fix steal of the 11/3 GA election? Threaten to withhold your votes & money. Demand that they represent you,” Wood wrote.

His threat immediately drew strong, negative reactions from conservatives, who noted that if both Republicans lose and Biden goes on to be inaugurated, Democrats will control all of Congress and the White House.

“David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler need to be re-elected, they have got to be elected to these seats,” Rep. Doug Collins (R-Ga.), who ran unsuccessfully for Loeffler’s seat. “Georgians need to realize the reason the Democrats are flooding the state of Georgia.”

In response to a Newsmax report that Georgia Republicans were considering boycotting the January elections, President Trump urged them not to do so.

“No, the 2020 Election was a total scam, we won by a lot (and will hopefully turn over the fraudulent result), but we must get out and help David and Kelly, two GREAT people. Otherwise we are playing right into the hands of some very sick people. I will be in Georgia on Saturday!” Trump wrote, in reference to a rally scheduled for Dec. 5.

“I’m seeing a lot of talk from people that are supposed to be on our side telling GOP voters not to go out & vote for @KLoeffler and @PerdueSenate. That is NONSENSE. IGNORE these people. We need ALL of our people coming out to vote for Kelly & David,” addedDonald Trump Jr.

And conservative attorney, pundit, and retired U.S. Army officer Kurt Schlichter, said, “Maybe supposed allies should stop encouraging our voter to take dumb and self-destructive positions. We all need to have zero tolerance for dipsh**s who tell people to refuse to vote.”
