Frustration over an election that an overwhelming majority of Republicans believe was “stolen” from President Donald Trump boiled over in Georgia over the weekend.
All eyes are on the Peach State, where two runoff elections will decide the balance of the U.S. Senate, and Republican National Committee Chair Ronna McDaniel ran head long into this frustration while interacting with voters there.
Georgia is one of a handful of battleground states where Trump saw an election night lead disappear as counting continued well after polls had closed, and McDaniel was in Marietta campaigning for incumbent Sens. David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler, who face January runoff elections.
She encountered discouraged Republican voters, to include a woman who asked why should they bother to put in more “money and work when it’s already decided.”
Here is video from one of the exchanges. A supporter asks why the RNC is not looking into the allegations with the voting machines. McDaniel stated flatly there is no evidence of that.

“It’s not decided. This is the key — it’s not decided,” McDaniel insisted. “First of all, David Purdue still has a hundred thousand vote lead over [Democratic challenger] Jon Ossoff.
“So if you lose your faith and you don’t vote and people walk away — that will decide it,” she added.
Another skeptical voter talked about how Republicans turned out in “crazy numbers,” but somehow Joe Biden still managed to win — presumably. He mentioned the claim that election “machines are switching the votes.”
“We didn’t see that in the audit,” McDaniel replied. “That evidence I haven’t seen, so we’ll just have to wait and see on that.”
The liberal media, which was pushing a narrative that Trump’s claims of voter fraud backfired on the GOP, was only too eager to broadcast that answer far and wide.
Supporters in Marietta ask Ronna McDaniel about the status of ongoing recount efforts across the country— McDaniel says, “Wisconsin is still in their recount mode, and they’re finding some pretty serious irregularities… in Georgia, this consent degree really hurt your election”

The Trump campaign has challenged the election results in Georgia, and the president has said he was “robbed,” claiming there was “fraud all over the place.” He also called Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, who oversees elections in the state, “the enemy of the people.”
On that note, Politico’s 2020 Voter Priorities Survey recently published found 79% of Republicans believe the Nov. 3 election was stolen through illegal voting and fraud by Democrats.
“The President has said, unequivocally, that he supports Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue and he’s going to come to Georgia to campaign for them,” McDaniels told the crowd.
President Donald Trump announced Thursday he will travel to Georgia this week to campaign for the GOP senators and help motivate discouraged Republicans to vote.
In a tweet announcing this, Trump called the 2020 election “a total scam.”
No, the 2020 Election was a total scam, we won by a lot (and will hopefully turn over the fraudulent result), but we must get out and help David and Kelly, two GREAT people. Otherwise we are playing right into the hands of some very sick people. I will be in Georgia on Saturday! https://t.co/1ziqFq9S6O
