Just when you think 2020 can’t get any worse, image Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., the socialist former bartender from the Bronx, being America’s moral compass.

The problem is, Ocasio-Cortez doesn’t know as much as the corrupt media would have you believe… or she has come to understand just how gullible people on the left really are. Either way, Sen. Ted Cruz was willing to take time out of a busy schedule to help educate the Bolshevik.

Ignoring what most of America knows, that being that the Democratic Party has held up any pandemic relief efforts until all the messy election business is over, AOC tried to attack Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell on the issue for dismissing the upper chamber — the Senate is expected to return next week after the Thanksgiving holiday.

“People across the country are going hungry, COVID is set to explode, and Mitch McConnell dismissed the Senate last week. I don’t know how these people can sleep at night. I really don’t,” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted.

Of course, her moral indignation was MIA when President Trump called on Speaker Nancy Pelosi to send him a stand-alone bill approving $1,200 stimulus checks for the American people and the California Democrat rejected the offer outright.

With the appeal coming before the election, the last thing Pelosi wanted was for folks to be receiving checks with Trump’s name on them — their suffering be damned.

Cruz replied to AOC to point out that Democrats in the upper chamber are blocking a $500 billion relief effort and Joe Biden is “cheering them on. Thinking that blocking relief somehow helps Dems win Georgia.”

While it seems clear that Ocasio-Cortez’s attack on McConnell was linked to the run-off elections in Georgia, the measure Cruz referenced boosted federal unemployment benefits and provided more funding for the Paycheck Protection Program, among other things.

Apparently unable to differentiate between the upper and lower chambers, Ocasio-Cortez clapped back to say the House doesn’t have filibusters, referencing bills Pelosi passed that were heavy on bailing out bankrupt states run by Democrats — billed as “helping real people.”

Desperately trying to stay ahead of an opponent who outclasses her, she followed that up by trying to embarrass Cruz for not knowing that the House does not have filibusters — it still not dawning on her that he was talking about the Senate.

“I hope someone else runs Cruz’s Twitter account because it’d be pretty embarrassing if a US Senator didn’t know this,” she tweeted.

Cruz replied that AOC “seems not to know there are Democrats in the Senate,” or the tactics they are employing with Biden’s blessings.

Biden’s transition team told NBC News the candidate “fully supports” the negotiating positions of Speaker Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer.

Pandemic relief is taking on more importance as many Democrat-run states begin to lockdown again amid a COVID-19 surge, even though a vaccine is expected to be out in a matter of days.

In addition, two federal jobless aid programs created in March expired the day after Christmas, leaving some 12 million Americans with no income, Fox News reported.
