While indications may suggest that President Donald Trump’s legal challenges to an election he insists was marred by fraud may come up short, it’s still too early to make that call.
But should it prove to be true, the one thing that seems to worry the corrupt media establishment that helped contribute to Trump’s defeat is that he may start his own network — well, outside of the possibility that the president may run again in 2024.
Look no further than MSNBC host Joe Scarborough, who tried to discourage the idea of a Trump network by making the nonsensical argument that it would be too much work for Donald Trump.
Keep in mind that Trump, who sleeps 4-5 hours a night and maintains a schedule that a man 20 years his junior would struggle to keep up with, is notorious for how hard he works in the White House.
In a Sunday appearance, Scarborough was discussing what Trump may do if he’s no longer president, as well as the possibility of a 2024 run, and he said long-term planning is not something the president excels at, claiming that he “works hard enough to just survive the next ten minutes.”
In discussing possible future political plans, Scarborough pushed the popular media narrative about Trump potentially facing charges when he’s out of office — as we’ve already seen from the Democrats’ sham impeachment, there does not need to be an actual crime committed.
“So when people start talking about 2024, you have to laugh if you know Donald Trump,” he said. “There’s always a different angle — maybe he thinks this helps him out if for some reason he decides he has to have a plea agreement with prosecutors, that maybe he’ll agree to not ever run for public office again if they drop charges against him. I think that’s what’s first and foremost in his mind.”
But it was instructive that Scarborough also mentioned the scuttlebutt about Trump starting his own network, only to say that it would be too much work for him.
“This is a guy who’s not going to most likely start a news network or TV network or team up with anyone else, because that’s too much work,” he said. “He wants cheap and easy money, and he wants to stay out of the courtroom and stay out of jail, so all this talk about 2024 is really just noise.”
Never mind that Trump may be the single most litigious man in America, this drivel passes for elevated thought on the left.
As for Trump’s work schedule, White House chief of staff Mark Meadows told the New York Post shortly after taking office that Trump called him once at 3:19 a.m. and that ensuring the president takes time for lunch is a challenge.
“I can tell you that the biggest concern I have as a new chief of staff is making sure he gets some time to get a quick bite to eat,” Meadows.
“I can tell you that he will go back in and have a lunch just off the Oval Office and more times than not it is interrupted by several phone calls,” he continued. “If he gets more than 10 minutes of time in a given day, I haven’t seen in the five weeks I’ve been here.”
