Egard Watches CEO Ilan Srulovicz is being awarded for a moving ad supporting law enforcement.

Srulovicz will be awarded the Fox Nation Courage Award Friday at the annual Patriot Awards for his courage to release the ad over the summer while the oft-violent Black Lives Matter rioted across America and called for defunding police.

Appearing at the time on Fox News, Srulovicz said that he was compelled to speak out because “politicians, the media, companies around the country, they turned their back on police.”

“It’s not wrong to celebrate our police,” the CEO told Fox News host Tucker Carlson Friday. “There’s been this mass attack by the media, politicians, and I realized no one anywhere is willing to stand up to them and I didn’t want to live in a world where that was the rhetoric that was going on.”

As for the ad, titled “Speak truth – A message that needs to be heard,” police officers are praised for the sacrifices they make everyday to ensure that the rest of us live in a world where we can go about the business of living life, and for the many heroic acts that go unnoticed.

“This world is so imperfect,” the narrator begins, as images of the rioting appear on screen. “It’s full of pain, and fear. Despite all of the chaos, all the judgment, we know that so many of you are good. We forget how human we are, how human we all are, including you. And that among all the sacrifice, mistakes can be made, and bad people do exist. We know that a world without you would not be better, but far, far worse, and for that we thank you.”

“We know how much of your sacrifice goes unnoticed, and we know that the worst of you get the spotlight instead of the best,” the viral ad continues. “So many of you have given your lives to protect ours, to keep us safe. We will not stand by and let your work go unnoticed. We will speak truth.”

Just as the video opened, it concluded with white font against a black screen, sharing the message: “Over 60 million Americans have police interactions per year. Many of which result in lives being saved. #speaktruth.”

Srulovicz told Carlson that he loves America and he warned what real oppression looks like.

“We’ve lost the ability to speak freely and speak our minds, and once that goes, I’ve seen it, I’ve seen it from my family’s backgrounds,” he said. “My mother escaped Iraq, my father is a Jewish man who lost a lot of family in the Holocaust and I’ve seen what oppression really looks like and that you have to fight to preserve the things you care about.”

If Egard Watches sticks in your mind, it’s because the company released a “response” to Gillette’s controversial “toxic masculinity” ad that was panned for painting men as predatory bullies.

Celebrating the sacrifices men make in their lives, the ad shared some statistics about risks men face over women.

“What is a man? Is a man brave? Is a man a hero? Is a man a protector? Is a man vulnerable? Is a man disposable? Is a man broken? Is a man trying? We see the good in men,” a narrator said in the clip.
