Twitter plans to transfer its official account for the United States president to Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden if and when Biden is inaugurated into office on Jan. 20th, regardless of whether President Donald Trump has conceded the election.

In a statement to Politico, a Twitter spokesperson confirmed that @FLOTUS, @VP and @WhiteHouse will also be transferred over to Biden’s team on Inauguration Day.

The president never tweets from his official @POTUS account, preferring instead to tweet from his longtime-held @RealDonaldTrump account.

And so the @POTUS account’s feed contains nothing but retweets from @RealDonaldTrump, the @WhiteHouse and some Trump administration officials.

The same cannot be said of first lady Melania Trump, who frequently uses her official @FLOTUS account to reach out to and speak with the public.

Case in point:

Like her husband, however, the first lady also has her own personal account at @MelaniaTrump. Except in her case, her personal account ironically contains nothing but retweets of her official @FLOTUS account.

For the president, the primary problem he’ll face come Inauguration Day won’t be losing his barely used @POTUS account but rather losing the protections that have permitted him to post anything without the risk of being suspended.

“President Donald Trump will lose Twitter privileges he enjoys as a world leader when President-Elect Joe Biden takes office on January 20th, 2021,” The Verge confirmed earlier this month.

“Twitter confirmed that Trump’s @realDonaldTrump account will be subject to the same rules as any other user — including bans on inciting violence and posting false information about voting or the coronavirus pandemic.”

Because of Twitter’s demonstrably left-wing politics, every claim the president has made recently about the contested, unconcluded 2020 presidential election has been flagged by Twitter, including even claims that could potentially be true.

Case in point:

Twitter flagged the president’s claim that “massive voter fraud will be shown.” But how does Twitter know that all the ongoing investigations and lawsuits pertaining to the 2020 race won’t ultimately uncover “massive voter fraud?”

Note also how the president specifically used the verb “will.” He wasn’t saying massive fraud has already “been” shown but that it “will” be.

As it stands, Twitter appears to be in denial about the president’s lawsuits, in that it’s acting as if the lawsuits were never filed and don’t exist.

“[E]ven should Trump continue to contest his loss and fight his removal from the White House on Jan. 20, he won’t have a say in whether he hangs on to one of the presidency’s main digital assets,” Politico reported Friday, citing a Twitter spokesperson.

It seems that in Twitter’s left-wing echo chamber, the 2020 race has already concluded, and Biden is en route to be inaugurated as president come Jan. 20th.

In reality, the election is far from over despite the media’s premature declaration of Biden as the winner of the race — and Trump could still pull ahead and secure the presidency for another term if his litigation proves fruitful.

The president’s legal team is for their part extremely confident that their litigation will indeed prove fruitful thanks to expected eventual intervention by the Supreme Court.

They’re so confident that after a federal judge issued a ruling Saturday rejecting their attempt to block the certification of Pennsylvania’s 2020 presidential election results, they graciously thanked him for “expediting” their journey to the Supreme Court.

“Today’s decision turns out to help us in our strategy to get expeditiously to the U.S. Supreme Court. Although we fully disagree with this opinion, we’re thankful to the Obama-appointed judge for making this anticipated decision quickly, rather than simply trying to run out the clock,” the president’s legal team wrote.

They added that their immediate plan calls for seeking an “expedited appeal” to the Third Circuit and suggested that they’re confident victory will eventually be theirs.

“There is so much evidence that in Pennsylvania, Democrats eliminated our opportunity to present 50 witnesses and other evidence that election officials blatantly ignored Pennsylvania’s law denying independent review. This resulted in 682,777 ballots being cast illegally, wittingly or unwittingly,” they wrote.

Yet Twitter doesn’t seem to care.

“Twitter said its representatives will meet with Biden-Harris transition officials in the coming months to discuss the particulars of how the new administrations will use Twitter,” Politico’s report continued.

It’s not clear how the left-wing social media network would react if Trump were to prove triumphant in court and retain the presidency.
