These are highly contentious times in America, where radicalism on the left may be reaching a crescendo, as are frustrations on the right.
The 2020 election has been marred by allegations of voter fraud and by millions of unsolicited mail-in ballots, and battles are raging on the left between radical forces and rank-and-file Biden supporters, and on the right over election coverage, where even Fox News’ colleagues appear to be sniping at each other.
Fox News finds itself at the center of angst on the right, starting with election night, when the network rushed to call the state of Arizona on Joe Biden’s behalf — though, to be fair Chris Wallace’s performance as presidential debate moderator had already poked the proverbial bear.
Network host Neil Cavuto effectively threw gasoline on a raging fire Monday when he abruptly cut away from White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany ripping Democrats for not supporting a transparent election as President Trump pursues his legal rights to expose allegations of voter fraud.

“I can’t in good countenance continue showing this,” said Cavuto, who is not a fan of Donald Trump.
Cavuto’s action resonated as talk of Fox News’ ratings taking a beating abound, and Tucker Carlson appeared to take a shot at his coworker in his opening monologue Monday night.
“In a democracy, you can’t ignore honest questions from citizens,” Carlson insisted. “You can’t dismiss them out of hand is crazy or immoral for asking. You can’t just cut away from coverage you don’t like.”
Carlson was commenting on the disputed election outcome amid all the media talk about there being “no evidence” of voter fraud.
“As of tonight, tens of millions of Americans suspect this election was stolen from them,” he said. “That means we now live in a country where a large percentage of our population no longer believes our democracy is real. That is sad and dangerous and can get worse.”
The Fox News host was critical of the response to the controversy, charging that it’s “making our country much more volatile and setting us up for something bad.”
It was here that Carlson appeared to snipe at Cavuto.
“You can’t tell people to accept an outcome because force doesn’t work in a democracy. That’s dictatorship,” he added. “In a free society, you have to convince the public of your legitimacy. You have to win them over with reason. Democracy is always a voluntary arrangement. Telling voters to shut up is never enough. So in this case tonight, there’s only one way to lower the national temperature and unite the country — we need to find out exactly what happened in this election — and there are questions, and that means we have to answer them.”
Former Fox News host Eric Bolling responded to Cavuto’s action in a tweet, calling them: “Unprecedented and EXTREMELY disappointing.”
