Every so often, CNN anchor Jake Tapper offers some unexpected criticism of the left to try to keep up the mirage that he is a legitimate journalist free of bias.
An example of this directed effort was seen Tuesday when he denounced former Obama spokesperson Hari Sevugan for promoting a revenge list of White House staff working under President Trump — never mind that Tapper was just called out for his own “smug and repellent” attitude toward Trump officials.
With the media’s rush to call the election in favor of the candidate they carried across the finish line, the left is convinced that they have prevailed and there have been lots of talk about enemy lists, with socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., leading the way.
Sevugan responded to a claim from “Fake News CNN” that Trump staffers are now looking for jobs, effectively threatening companies that may hire them: “Employers considering them should know there are consequences for hiring anyone who helped Trump attack American values.”
.@kaitlancollins just reported WH staff are starting to look for jobs. Employers considering them should know there are consequences for hiring anyone who helped Trump attack American values. Find out how at the Trump Accountability Project.https://t.co/7z4tDKsSQb

Tapper responded by saying the effort to “blackball” Trump officials was not in line with Biden’s call for unity — a call coming from a party that spent the last four years demonizing Trump supports as racists and Nazis.
“An organized attempt by former Dem officials to blackball from employment anyone who worked for the US government during the Trump administration seems the exact opposite of the calls for unity and healing we’ve heard from President-elect Biden,” he tweeted.

The tweet likely being more about backing Biden’s initiative than condemning the idea of an enemies list, as Tapper is all aboard the media’s campaign to declare the election over and anoint Biden as the 46th president of the United States.
He also added to the conversation about how “future employers” might perceive the people currently working in the Trump administration.
I truly sympathize with those dealing with losing — it’s not easy — but at a certain point one has to think not only about what’s best for the nation (peaceful transfer of power) but how any future employers might see your character defined during adversity.

Real Clear Investigations senior writer Mark Hemingway responded: “One doesn’t have to endorse every errant claim of voter fraud to find this attitude smug and repellent, especially coming from a man who is directly responsible for injecting the Russia dossier into the national conversation.”
This is all part of a concerted effort to try to move on to the election aftermath with no attention given to the fact that the election is still in flux, with pending recounts and legal actions.
As for Trump enemy lists, even the corrupt media is making lists and checking them twice, as seen with Washington Post columnist Jennifer Rubin:
Any R now promoting rejection of an election or calling to not to follow the will of voters or making baseless allegations of fraud should never serve in office, join a corporate board, find a faculty position or be accepted into “polite” society. We have a list.

One thing is certain, it can never be said that the left did not tell us well in advance who they are.
The replies to Tapper further illustrate this troubling reality, though the left tries to justify their despicable actions by dehumanizing Trump staffers.
Here’s a sampling of the responses from Twitter:
It’s tough. They’ve enabled fascism for profit, and this is a call to hold them accountable. We keep forgiving people before they’ve apologized. Democrats step into this trap time and again. I like our compassion! But how many times do we have to be punched in the face?

This is a bad take. Many of the people who worked for Trump were unqualified grifters and serial liars who had no business being in government in the first place. Not hiring them is an easy decision.

Very disappointed that Tapper would advocate welcoming these people right back into society. Nah, actions have consequences. Participating in an admin that ripped thousands of kids from their parents and then lost track of 666 sets of parents is inexcusable.

I am 1000% on board to blacklist anyone who joined Trump’s administration to enable his horrific, racist agenda. I am not for blacklisting those who have been career government employees and just stayed in the job when trump came along.

Honestly, I’d have a hard time hiring someone who willingly worked for such a garbage human being. I’d have concerns about their judgment and values.

Nazis and nazi sympathizers were not welcomed back into polite society after WW2.
The same rule should apply in 2020.

Anyone who helped Trump rip babies out of the arms of their mothers and put them in cages without proper care or tracking of their families — should absolutely be blacklisted from jobs.
I think they should be prosecuted for crimes against humanity by an international tribunal.
