Every so often, CNN anchor Jake Tapper offers some unexpected criticism of the left to try to keep up the mirage that he is a legitimate journalist free of bias.

An example of this directed effort was seen Tuesday when he denounced former Obama spokesperson Hari Sevugan for promoting a revenge list of White House staff working under President Trump — never mind that Tapper was just called out for his own “smug and repellent” attitude toward Trump officials.

With the media’s rush to call the election in favor of the candidate they carried across the finish line, the left is convinced that they have prevailed and there have been lots of talk about enemy lists, with socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., leading the way.

Sevugan responded to a claim from “Fake News CNN” that Trump staffers are now looking for jobs, effectively threatening companies that may hire them: “Employers considering them should know there are consequences for hiring anyone who helped Trump attack American values.”

Tapper responded by saying the effort to “blackball” Trump officials was not in line with Biden’s call for unity — a call coming from a party that spent the last four years demonizing Trump supports as racists and Nazis.

“An organized attempt by former Dem officials to blackball from employment anyone who worked for the US government during the Trump administration seems the exact opposite of the calls for unity and healing we’ve heard from President-elect Biden,” he tweeted.

The tweet likely being more about backing Biden’s initiative than condemning the idea of an enemies list, as Tapper is all aboard the media’s campaign to declare the election over and anoint Biden as the 46th president of the United States.

He also added to the conversation about how “future employers” might perceive the people currently working in the Trump administration.

Real Clear Investigations senior writer Mark Hemingway responded: “One doesn’t have to endorse every errant claim of voter fraud to find this attitude smug and repellent, especially coming from a man who is directly responsible for injecting the Russia dossier into the national conversation.”

This is all part of a concerted effort to try to move on to the election aftermath with no attention given to the fact that the election is still in flux, with pending recounts and legal actions.

As for Trump enemy lists, even the corrupt media is making lists and checking them twice, as seen with Washington Post columnist Jennifer Rubin:

One thing is certain, it can never be said that the left did not tell us well in advance who they are.

The replies to Tapper further illustrate this troubling reality, though the left tries to justify their despicable actions by dehumanizing Trump staffers.

Here’s a sampling of the responses from Twitter:
