President Donald Trump drew mockery from seemingly misinformed leftists Thursday when he tweeted and then retweeted, “STOP THE COUNT!”
Leftists took it to mean that the president wanted all ballot tabulations to halt permanently, a move that would leave the president with only 214 electoral votes versus Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden’s 253 electoral votes.
But that’s not what he meant …
Nevertheless, look at his tweet and the mockery below:
Does this dumbass know he loses if they stop the count? https://t.co/hckgWjfWji

He’s aware that, if we stop the count right now, he loses, right?

if we stop the count he… loses… with Biden ahead in AZ, NV, and ME-2 that’s 271 lmao

STOP THE COUNT: Biden wins. COUNT THE VOTE: Biden wins…. WTF are you doing? Either way tRUMP LOSES!!!

What this fat orange imbecile doesn’t know is that if they stop the count right now he loses. I guess he means only in states where he’s ahead. What a leader. What a role model. Every kids coach in America should stop any game in which they are losing.

If they stop the count he lost. He’s an idiot. He’s losing Arizona and Nevada that means Biden is president if he loses both.

If they stop the count he loses.. maths wasn’t his strong point for a “billionaire”

Critical thinking doesn’t appear to be their “strong point” …
The president’s appeal is for states to temporarily halt ballot counting so that concerns that have been raised about the counting process may first be addressed.
In the tweet below posted Wednesday, Trump 2020 communicators director Tim Murtaugh tried to explain this to CNN White House reporter Abby Phillip:
The tweet below is completely inaccurate.
We are demanding that our legal volunteers be allowed meaningful access while counting is going on.
This is purposefully misstated⬇️. https://t.co/qMy9BqjjGs
— Tim Murtaugh (@TimMurtaugh) November 4, 2020
“We are demanding that our legal volunteers be allowed meaningful access while counting is going on,” he wrote.
And until this “meaningful access” is granted, the president would like the counting of ballots to stop.
During a press conference Wednesday afternoon, the president’s attorney Rudy Giuliani tried to relay the same concerns to what were apparently deaf ears
“We were supposed to be allowed by law to observe the counting of the ballots. Now, ‘observe’ means to any intelligent person being able to look at it,” he said.
“The way it’s interpreted by the Democrat crooked machine of Philadelphia is that the observers can be 20 or 30 feet away, never able to see the ballot itself, never able to see if it was properly postmarked, properly addressed, properly signed on the outside—all the things that often lead to disqualification of ballots or make it very easy to dump 50,000 totally fraudulent ballots because they’re not observed.”
Listen:
These unaddressed concerns led the Trump campaign into filing lawsuits Wednesday.
“President Donald Trump’s campaign filed lawsuits Wednesday in Pennsylvania, Michigan and Georgia, laying the groundwork for contesting battleground states as he slipped behind Democrat Joe Biden in the hunt for the 270 Electoral College votes needed to win the White House,” the Associated Press reported.
“The new filings, joining existing Republican legal challenges in Pennsylvania and Nevada, demand better access for campaign observers to locations where ballots are being processed and counted, and raise absentee ballot concerns, the campaign said.”
And so clearly Trump’s point in tweeting “STOP THE COUNT” had been to say that vote counting should be stopped until these lawsuits are adjudicated.
Perhaps it’s understandable that everyday Democrat voters wouldn’t know any better? Perhaps it’s even understandable that someone who works for CNN wouldn’t either?
But what about Nate Silver, an allegedly credentialed statistician and media contributor whose election projections are supposed to be the cream of the crop?
Look:
worth mentioning they have called for counting all ballots received on or before election day and not to count those received after
the calls to stop the count mean stop counting until republican poll watchers are allowed

*facepalm*
Maybe it’s a fitting end for what have been 4+ years of grossly inaccurate predictions, out-of-touch commentary and Trump Derangement Syndrome from the media elite?
Writing for Reason magazine after Election Night, Robby Soave opined that the media’s projections were “so spectacularly wrong” they call “the validity of the profession into doubt.”
And that’s not even taking into consideration their inability to understand why they lost in 2016 and why so many Americans still remain Trump supporters.
They’re “[u]nable to admit that a Democratic Party held hostage by liberal arts graduates who write their preferred pronouns on their name tags might be out of touch with the working class voters who traditionally vote blue,” he wrote.
So out of touch, in fact, that four years since Trump’s election, they still can’t understand his tweets …
