In one of his signature perceptive monologues, Greg Gutfeld predicted that far-left anarchists will create chaos no matter who wins the presidency because they’ve been rioting all along. Against the bleak backdrop of boarded-up businesses in New York City, D.C., and elsewhere, and private guards posted outside luxury apartment buildings, FNC’s The Five co-host observed that making matters worse, officials in these Democrat-controlled cities have accepted anarchy as the norm.
“The fact is, if Trump loses, his voters get on with their lives. But the left, they don’t even take ‘yes’ for an answer. So what if they hear a ‘no?’ A longer, violent tantrum will ensue.
“Whether you live in a city or not, this should sadden you — why are we so helpless that we now rely on plywood for protection, not police or politicians? Our local leaders have removed the bar for self-control, accepting the urges of malicious actors as protest…The media, and their political allies, have sided with the mob,” he declared, while adding that cops are prepared.
Although Gutfeld didn’t put it in these terms, it’s almost like The Purge movie/TV franchise come to life. as others have noted.
The Fox News personality called attention to the extreme irony of anti-Second Amendment Biden voters, the limousine liberal cohort who insulate themselves from the ideological agenda they espouse for everyone else, needing to rely on Trump supporters for protection.
Jesse Watters, Gutfeld’s co-panelist, chimed in that the rioters will (and have) destroyed the businesses operated by many hard-working and well-meaning middle-class people, some of whom also vote Democrat.

“Even those gun-control-loving celebs in NYC have hired armed guards for security. Yeah, they vote in Dems that excuse mayhem, then hire Trump voters to protect them from that stupid decision. So Biden wins. No harm. But Trump wins, hell on Earth.”
Watch:
Perhaps no organization has done more to stir up divisiveness in the country than the 24-hour, anti-Trump infomerical known as CNN.
This is a news outlet that gave significant airtime to what it deemed “mostly peaceful” protests, perhaps epitomizing Gutfeld’s thesis that the media has aligned itself with the mob.

Thus, it is with maximum lack of self-awareness that network anchor Wolf Blitzer took to Twitter to lament the pre-Election Day boarding up of buildings in urban centers across the country.
Here is a sample of the reaction, with one commenter appropriately asserting that Blitzer should look in a mirror.
I never thought I would see so many buildings here in the nation’s capital boarded-up on the eve of a presidential election in anticipation of possible unrest. And it’s not just in DC. It’s happening in New York, Los Angeles and elsewhere around the country. So sad! pic.twitter.com/fmPnUBbr8T

His tweet turned out to an epic fail equivalent to the reaction to colleague Jake Tapper’s ill-advised recommendation that the New York Post should cave in to Twitter demands.
I know we all know that this is not happening because of Trump supporters but kind of weird how elites have normalized leftist political violence in America in such a short period of time. https://t.co/BBdY0ilLCU

Yes it‘s sad that left wing lunatics react by destroying our cities when they don’t get what they want. It’s really sad that CNN cheers them on as buildings burn by calling their riots “mostly peaceful” without a hint of irony and it’s sad that the Democratic Party encourages it.

CNN downplayed riots as peaceful protests and perpetuated abject lies for four years against @realDonaldTrump, portraying him as an illegitimate president… as a fascist and wannabe king.
Look in a mirror, @wolfblitzer. You’re a big reason for the boarded up buildings. https://t.co/kJwZKlHHpV

For months your network called smoldering ruins in formerly great US cities the result of “mostly peaceful” protests. It was a lie. #MockShock https://t.co/WuydL0y5Ne

That’s because your viewers (Biden voters) are going to burn down cities across America if Trump wins the election.

When one spews targeted hate 24-7 for over 3.5 years, you have mentally weak idiots who become *radicalized* from that “programming” and guess the result?
